I'm going to be bummed when iOS 17 is talked about because of the changes regarding betas in iOS. Getting rid of the beta profiles was a big mistake. I miss betaprofiles dot com. I used them for *years*.

I believe the developer betas should be free. Google doesn't charge for developer betas. It should be you only pay to be a developer to publish apps or make money off of Apple. That's it.

Yes, sign the dotted line that says we aren't at fault if your device quits working, betas are unpolished software, if you want more stability wait for public beta 1, etc etc yada yada blah blah. Then let us have access to dev betas. It's ridiculous to not let us do it and that's why "piracy" was a thing, Apple.

I don't feel bad for Apple in the slightest. I always used profiles. Nor did I feel bad about it. It's not like music or a movie or a TV show, it's early access to software you are getting anyway and you can actually contribute by filing reports of bugs. Even if you don't, you should still have access to it. Period.

If I could have one wish for WWDC, it would be to not have to watch any cringey self-congratulatory video montages.

I’ve lost my excitement for these. It’s been a few years but it’s not the same anymore. Idk what it is. Too scripted and robot like I guess. The products just don’t do it for me. Still on iOS 15. Still have my 2015 MacBook. Series 4 AW. could be me also?
I'm more interested in this one than I have been for a while. This whole headset thing has the air of a high wire act. If they pull it off it'll be an impressive feat, if they don't it'll be a memorable failure.

I'm hoping for success here. The future can't be an array of flat panels of various sizes. Someone will eventually be the first to bring 3D immersive environments to the masses. The fact that so many have tried and failed gives long odds to this one, but there's no reason it can't be Apple that cracks it.

If nothing else, it'll show us what the current state of the art can be when budget isn't a constraint. It may or may not be enough, but I feel like this will either defibrillate the AR/VR market or drive a stake through it's heart for a decade.

A Memorable Federighi moment? Isn't that a little subjective?

Every Federighi moment is memorable. The real question is: does he wear the headset? Too bad they don't do real live presentations anymore. I want to see his hair when it takes it off.

I was actually talking about the tiny text under the card that says "Apple increases base iCloud storage from 5GB."
