The is an interesting Japanese Anime that is a possible direction for all of this the 2011 Anime Fractale. In this future people live in a virtual world sending avatars inplace of their physical bodies. There is a movement to save the real world using old technology.

They still can't figure out how to you hook up the iphone up to a monitor with a keyboard, mouse, good enough file system and lots of windows.

Hahaha, I'm enjoying watching this video lagging about 2 seconds behind the audio. I'd swear they're doing this on purpose to demonstrate the new video features.

This is all real neat, but without any hardware, I'm made aware that I'm watching an advertisement selling me... a free software update? Well ok...

It's not "blowing over". EVERY SINGLE TECH COMPANY is integrating it FULLY into their products going forward.
