The white in the bottom of the banner is the top of a heart as we generally see a heart depicted. I say it is a lot about this health app. And yes I see the top depicting what looks like an apple but I still feel that's a heart.

Hell, the A7 is already slightly ahead of the Intel Core 2 Duo powering this Dell I'm typing on.....better geekbench scores for the A7.

The Core 2 Duo was released in 2006...

What model of the C2D are you using?

Let the deciphering begin!

But before all that... if you look closely, it says, "Write the code. Change the world".
Could this be some self-effacing irony?

!!!

Hehe I know that. It translates to: "We are switching to ARM CPUs. And since noone is going to write s/w for us anymore, you'd better start writing your own !" :D

So, just showing the profile of the top of the Apple logo looks a lot like a heart to me.....Health? Other than that, I can't read anything obvious into it this year.

EDIT: Or this just came to me....Heart-BEAT(S)? (by dre)

And notice the colors above the "heart" go from blue to red as blood does as it is pumped past the lungs! OK...I'm stretching, but that's what I see.

....people really should stop trying to read into the poster too much - its just a poster - nothing more, nothing less.

No hidden meanings and no clues as to what is coming............just be patient!!!!

You know it's WWDC when the world goes insane over dots and a fruit shaped logo

....dude - you are so right!!!

...take a close look at that man on the cherry-picker, he's not wearing a hat, and slightly obscuring the white part of the sign making a "V" symbol... above him, you can see the numbers 11 on the ceiling... OS 11 is about to BE LAUNCHED! With a "Virtual" (V) interface you control with YOUR WATCH or YOUR MIND!

With this being a developer's conference, I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the possibility of Aperture X. Final Cut Pro X was announced WWDC 2011 and Logic Pro X during the WWDC 2013. I see this as a great possibility alongside OS 11 and iOS 8.

I would LOVE to see Aperture X - using Lightroom right now but is definitely try out Aperture if it brought some cool features to the table.

Seeing this gave me an idea. What if the new Apple TV and the lower priced iMac are meant to replace the mac mini. Don't laugh...yet, read on.

Current mac mini owners usually fall into on of two categories:
1. Those who use it as an inexpensive desktop. Rumors of a lower priced iMac would make sense for this group.
2. Those who use it for a media center. An upgraded Apple TV with 3rd-party apps would make sense for this group.

I'm not making any predictions. Just food for thought.

Increasing the price of the Apple TV from $99 to ~$600+ would price out a lot of consumers, especially with the Amazon Fire on the market.

That's an easy one

WWDC 14:

WW = Wrist Watch ;)

DC 14 = Cinema Display with 14 Mio. pixels, with the resolution of 5120x2880 = 14 745 600 pixels (which is doubling the current horizontal and vertical resolution of the Cinema Dislplay being 2560x1440 and resulting 4x pixels density).

And all those shiny colored pixels building an Apple logo on the banner seem to confirm that fact with a discreet reminder, that it definitely will be a color monitor. :)

its ios8. i think they're gonna reveal ios8 followed by a august release of iphone 6.

Tim Cook: "Welcome. We've sold gazillion units of iPhones. We have 1.1 billion flashlight apps in the app store. At Apple we have a culture of innovation. We make some truly great products. We just had a 7-1 stock split"

Icahn: "Thx"

Tim Cook: "First up is Jony Ive to talk about Healthbook"

Jony: "We took MyFitnesspal and reskinned it using My Little Pony Colors. The result is visionary, magical, simply astonishing. It's beautifully, unapologetically, healthy and all about the experience itself."

Phil Schiller: "Can't innovate anymore my ass"

Dr. Dre: "I wanna go on stage"

Phil Schiller: "No"

I'm not suggesting a $600 ATV. I'm saying that an upgraded ATV (A8 processor, 1GB ROM, 16GB storage, etc), could do the job that a certain group of mac mini owners currently use their mini for. Namely as a media center and maybe some occasional gaming.

I, like all of us, have no idea what Apple feels that would be worth, if such a product even exists. However, if I had to hazard a guess, I would put it in the $150-200 range. Maybe higher for higher storage option models (like the iPhone/iPads).

it's just a wallpaper. as it has always been. apple likes rainbow wallpapers with all the colors in the rainbow, since they are hippies. steve jpbs was a hippy so nothing is surprising here. just a wallpaper

Look... More banners!!! Looks like iOS8!

Or cheap.

The bill of materials for the A7 is a little less than $20 a chip and the A8 might bump that up to between 20-25 with the new process technology being new. So for a 4 chip system it would be under up to $100 or $200 for an 8 chip. That doesn't include other proprietary chips they would need to facilitate efficient multi-processor data transfers and communications but it's a small fraction of Intel's Xeons in the same performance range.
