Yup, camera's on the wrong side. TWO cameras would be more believable than this. (Besides, I actually would expect an Apple phone to be a 'slider' with ultra simple controls on the 'outside', and the keypad on the slider, a la the
Nokia N80, among others.
But, the general concept (of it being an 'iChat' phone,) is awesome. Combine a cell phone with a WiFi VOIP phone, and it's perfect.
Even better if Steve-o announces in the Leopard part that the next iChat supports calling out to normal phones (VOIP a la Vonage) free if you have a .Mac subscription, with low international rates, (or even free international calling to select countries.) Or for a monthly cost.
If he announces that, then I
guarantee that the "One More Thing" will be the 'iChat Mobile'. (Whatever its real name ends up.) "Oh, using iChat to call land lines? You don't have to wait for Leopard... You can get it (cue slide change)
to-day." Available as an unlocked phone direct from Apple, for use with any GSM provider, PLUS it will connect to open WiFi access points for VOIP functionality; both to regular telephones, and to your iChat contacts. I DON'T think they'll lock it in to a specific provider like they did with Cingular and the iTunes phone.
Of course, it will have basic iTunes functionality. I would imagine the same functionality as the nano; POSSIBLY with over-the-air Podcast updating. But NO over-the-air iTMS.
