For "filters" I carry my analogue film camera... I really doubt they would bloat the basic functionality like that. Already, there are thousands of filter apps on the AppStore, which means that it is just so hard to find some universal one to please anyone...

In my opinion Apple should really focus on their core competencies, and that's designing great looking hardware, providing the core OS and connectivity services, but leave the applications to other vendors.

There are just too many dead horses around that were launched by Apple and never took off.

So do what you do best and leave the rest for the others (for example it would be really kind to give us an updated workstation).

leave my springboard alone! i dont need another app which i will never use cluttering my homescreen. im perfectly capable of downloading it myself if i really need it like theyve done in the past with iBooks and findmyiphone

A lot is riding on Jony Ive... He can either make it or break it... We just have to wait and see...

This will be the crowd's reaction after Jon Ive debuts the iOS 7 UI:

I have read all the rumor stories... there's nothing very revolutionary about any of them. I'm not saying Apple doesn't have something really great planned, I'm hopeful they do... but my point stands, if they don't, they're in trouble.

I understand there's a lot riding on this upcoming iOS update. Why, though, do you expect something revolutionary? Do the other mobile OS's offer revolutionary updates every year? It's unhealthy to expect mind-blowing things ALL the time. Everyone here seems to always want constant innovation and revolutionary feats; these two words are so abused on MR that I think people do even know their definitions...

Will Apple be in trouble if iOS 7 is a disappointment? Probably not. Expectations are so astronomical, methinks no matter what happens people will be let down.

Just a thought, the WWDC icon is a stack of icons, maybe we will get some for of stack UI like we do on Mac, maybe a folder replacement, or with the upcoming airdrop feature.

motion sensing for Apple TV?

It seems to me that although there could be some good motion sensing applications for your phone, it would be even better to add motion sensing control to the Apple TV remote.

Just guessing here, but if they could augment the remote with some accelerometers, they could greatly improve the interaction with the Apple TV menus similar to gestures on the Smart TVs and Kinect.

Or... put a sensor on a new Apple TV box?

The item regarding shifting app icons depending on device orientation is interesting given the alleged leaked image of iOS 7 that appeared to show the icons off center. Many scrutinized the image as a fake because of it..

Looking at the WWDC logo, I'm seeing tilted neon color app icons stacked on top of each other.

camera filters may no made this years release, but that doesn't mean it won't be in next year ..

The more I look at iOS, the more i see Apple are constantly adding bloatware (e.g. social networking, and now "soon to be" camera filters)

Yes,, bloatware....... if you want these, there are apps available..... WHy do we need to join the Android market ? As thats where iOS is heading..

There may not be much now, but just wait.... I'm sure it will be piled up iPhoto app etc as well...... On the Mac, thats different, but iOS was never like this.

In this day and age, unless you get a non-smart phone (dumb phone), you can't do anything, except jailbreak, but why would i want to "introduce" malware to a what is a secure device, Apple make it to be?

oh well.
