Why isn't the new DVD design for leopard not mentioned in the news article?

Well I like it :)

That "thing" in the movie could not look more fake. It looks like a bad prop from a high school play.

That's pretty hot.

I'm puzzled by the brushed metal iPod. I'm puzzled, specifically, that they would put images of products to be announced at the Keynote on the banner, because it seems like it'd rob the Stevenote of a bit of power.

Definitely enthusiastic, though.

I really want to see how Leopard is going to turn out. There has been so much hype surrounding WWDC, I really hope WWDC is as good as everyone rumors it to be.

There have been way too many posts on WWDC...It's making me sick..

A Banner isn't going to give away SQUAT! We must wait until the keynote and any other possible leaks hours before the keynote to actually know what happens.

It represents leopard yes...nothing to be excited about...Apple told everyone that they were going to preview Leopard..the banner doesn't give anything away.

I was just talking about the design, not about product hints. :) The spots already gave away it was leopard, but I was talking about the reflection.

Is OSX going to get an optional Black skin? (for the new black macbooks) Since Tiger had an alluminium X?

As far as the iPhone goes, it looks a hell of a lot more believable than all the other potential "iPhones" around the internet. You guys are all screaming "fake" and "terrible design" which makes me think back to when the "MacBook" and "MBP" names were circulating around...and the switch to Intel.....and the switch to intel integrated graphics. Then when it turned out to be real you whined like a bunch of children, began to accept it, and now you love it (minus the integrated graphics.....even it's own mother hates it).

NEWSFLASH: The iPod Nano and Blackbook are exactly the same. This banner contains nothing new. You guys are seeing things.

In addition to my promise to run around naked and post the video to the Internet if iMac gets Conroe, I will do the same if they introduce a phone at WWDC.

Im holding that to you.

Well, the design of the Tiger DVDs at WWDC 2004 didn't indicate much about Tiger, and weren't even the final DVD design.

I just hope they try to stabilize on one UI design, instead of continually adding another new "exception" every year. (Unless, of course, they add full skinning capability. I highly doubt that will happen with 10.5, though.)

Not happening.

You probably should have said: "...if they introduce an Apple phone at WWDC." Because if they introduce another new Motorola phone, it will satisfy your stated requirements. ;)

ugh if that phone in movie is real I might die... SO ugly

Ya, it doesn't have a nice 'Apple' look to it.

This is a concept drawing I did a while back .... I'm hoping the Apple Phone is more like this ... but I doubt it.

You're right, after I look closely at this image. Dunno how it seemed so clearly brushed metal to me before.

The banner is just a collection of current Apple products all the photos are available in the press section of their website. What I don't understand though is if WWDC is going to promo a load of new products why have a banner that is going to be completely out of date?

Wouldn't it be better to highlight items that will remain or just make it generic. Why not keep it hidden like previous years until the day of the conference.

Who wants to bet nothing new looking at all will be announced just new technology in the same old cases! ;)

Indeed. That PM might be fairly passé by the end of the Stevenote.

I don't think those iPhone shots are real, and I'm not all that hopeful that a phone will be released on Monday, but if an Apple phone is released I will be as excited as I have ever been for an Apple release. Just imagine the syncing perfection and coolness factor.

... I think it's safe to assume the 'Mac Pro' is not getting a case redesign. It says 64 bit on the poster -- that is new, so we can assume everything else on the poster is up to date.
