I want snow leopard preview on the March 24th event and release at WWDC. I also want new MacBooks With quad core MBPros and 133 ppi screens and 150 ppi option on MacBook Pros. I do not want to use resolution independence to get full HD on 15" like I am using on my PB. Full HD on 15 inch is great.

I'm honestly wishing for a pre-WWDC Snow Leopard release. I know that would go against tradition, but honestly it's time to throw some curveballs.

That would also spike up the rumour mill about what is going to be at WWDC09. Besides, how long will they be able to talk at WWDC about how SL utilizes all the cores. Sure, it will be impressive, but half the audience will be bored to death.

Imagine a video like the one at MacWorld San Francisco where they're showing how the laser process works. Except this time it will focus on how Grand Central and Cocoa work.....b-o-r-i-n-g (for most audience).

You do realize that the majority of the WWDC audience is developers, right? It is after all a developer's conference. I would expect the majority of the WWDC keynote to be devoted to Snow Leopard and its technologies.

Aye, that which I have no problem with. My main concern is that if WWDC this year is all about SL then they should scale back the media a bit. I can't remember, I think it was MacWorld San Francisco when I was reading about all the media hype that amounted to nothing. Er...wait maybe it was one of the iPod events.

I guess my point is that I wouldn't like Apple to become the laughing stock of the IT World come June for having another huge media event with no hardware releases.

WWDC is only a huge media event because the media has deemed it that. At its heart, its just a nerds dream developer conference (i hope to go sometime).

Yeah, and it's only that first little keynote that's not covered by the NDA and definitely not technical at all. Last couple of years, it's almost not even fit with the rest of the program. It's like "ok, the keynote is over, the press is out of here, now we start with the real conference stuff..."

Exactly. You can say the KEYNOTE is a media frenzy, simply because the media goes nuts if paris hilton farts or apple puts a new powerbutton symbol on, but the conference itself is exactly what it should be, a haven for code monkees.:)
