Heh, even Apple has to submit their App's through the same clogged up channels as the rest of the devlopers.
Zfs
ZFS improves IO performance compared to HFS+. The added CPU overhead is notable but the other performance and reliability improvements are generally worth this cost. HFS+ is very much in need of a replacement. ZFS is currently one of the most appealing candidates for a new or at least additional file system for OS X.
