:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:!

You got to be kidding.

It appears Dagless agress with me:

Same here. But I don't there has been a bad X-Men movie yet. Each one has its merits and I enjoyed all of them for different reasons.

My reasons for 3: A tiny bit less emphasis on Wolverine. As cool as Wolvie is, and as well as Hugh Jackman portrays him, there are plenty of other mutants to develop, and develop they do. The Pyro/Iceman conflict comes to a head, Kitty Pride gets a good solo fight, and Storm finally gets to kick major ass after being largely ignored in X2. Angel's angst that initially drives him to self-mutilation is somewhat realistically portrayed, given the circumstances (the resolution of that was a bit cheezy, admittedly).

One minor negative in 3: The virtual non-use of Psylocke, even though she's in the movie, according to the credits. (She's the short one of the Omega trio, not Quill the porcupine guy or Arclight with the shockwave handclap.) Oh well, sometimes liberties have to be taken, I guess.

Also like Dagless, I've liked all of them so far. Nightcrawler totally made X2 worthwhile.

Emma Frost was the worst. Entire movie all she did was get up, turn on diamond mode and/or say one useless line. Rinse repeat.

Agreed. She was better used in the Generation X TV movie-- and trust me, that's not saying much.

So did you go see it? :)

X3 was a parody of the X-Men films. It was rushed, there were way too many characters and story lines. The Dark Phoenix was not given the attention it deserved. Bad actors like Vinnie Jones were in it, etc. I could go on and on. It was a huge mess.

Nightcrawler and the attack in the Oval Office was the kind of brilliance totally lacking in First Class. And regarding the Hellfire club, they undercut good content which could have been.

X3 is a good movie, but not the best of the series. I bought it so it meets my criteria. My critique of it is that it short changes the Dark Phoenix Saga and overall tries to compress the series as in, this is all your gonna get deal with it. ;) They could have spent at least 2 movies on Dark Pheonix and several on Hellfire.

Sorry, I ment did you see First Class? And if so what do you think? I agree that they tried to stuff too much into it.

I have not seen First Class yet- too busy lately.

OK, I finally saw it and I have to say- I really liked it. I liked how everything was handled. There was certainly no time to develop every single character in this first film. I suspect we'll get to know more about all the characters in the next film. Overall, a really solid film.
