Personally I have a PS3 just because Xbox 360 is made by Microsoft and I do not want to financially support them and enable to them to gain another monopoly.

PS3 has been nothing but joy. I don't have to pay anything. It's a very capable media machine. The controller is legendary. What else could you want?

Apparently, the PS3's biggest title is slightly flawed.
GT5, a title that has been several years in the making, apparently slows down when there are a lot of cars on screen at the same time.

Apparently you haven't actually played the game :p;) I've done many online 16 player games as well as packed single player games and had no issues with slow downs. This was an issue with the earlier betas, not so much with the final.

Still, GT5 isn't getting the rave reviews everyone was expecting. The fact that only the premium cars are extremely detailed, makes the game feel rushed (even after all these years in development). I've seen it and it looks phenomenal, but so do Forza 3 and Nfs Shift. AND, if I'm not mistaken, ALL cars are unlocked from the beginning in arcade mode ! If not, this would have been a deal breaker.
Moreover, and this has nothing to do with GT5, I believe that Kinect is more "interesting" than PS Move (which is really a copied and improved Wii). My kids tried it out at a store last weekend, they loved it. I guess that's the Wii out of the picture as well...

no.

It's hard to make games for the PS3 because of the small amount of ram and the fact that the PRAM and VRAM available is separated and not integrated, so resource allotment is more controlled and, for example, you can't have the VRAM handle certain actions during stretches when it's being underutilized while the PRAM is at or near max capacity, and vice versa. With the xbox the RAM can be pooled, or shared.

But they both have their pluses or minuses, but the main difference for me is online play. if you are a hardcore online player, you may prefer the xbox, and if you only play casually, then you'll prolly use live gold just enough to want it, but it'll piss you off that you pay so much for something and don't use it all that often. I rarely play online, but when I do, i like knowing it's an available option for me with my PS3.

And I hate how MS has tied all those extra services to live gold, like netflix, espn, etc. You already have to pay for netflix, now you gotta pay AGAIN to use it??!!
It's because of the processor. Try again.
