I 've just realized that my Xerox WorkCentre 7435 does not working in Big Sur due to lack of drivers. Previous drivers are not working and Xerox says that the printer is not supported in Big Sur. I cannot understand this for a €12000 printer.

Is there a way to make it print even with some generic driver (eg postscript?).

Thanks in advance!

There is a work around - you need to download the windows printer installer from the fiery controller and then extract the PPD from the exe file (will need access to a windows machine) or from this link also might work for the PPD (WC7435_win-ppd_1_English.zip).

Then you copy the PPD to the printer pref folder in the system library folder on the mac and add a new printer, using the IP address of the controller and lpr_print as the queue name and then selecting the PPD in the "use" drop down menu.

The other option is to download command workstation from the EFI website and then install the hot folders but you can't print directly to the printer and will need to drop PDF's into the hot folder and then setup and release the file from the command workstation interface.

Thank you very much. I will try the 1st work around and I'll ask again here if something does not go as expected.

Well, I'll need some more help If you can.

I'm doing what (I understand) you said, seems the printer added, but when I'm trying to print, the print job stops and the printer seems paused. I'm adding some photos so, you can have a better understanding what I'm doing.

I finally made it !

The problem was the protocol I was choosing. It needs LDP instead of IPP. I'm leaving this in a screenshot for future reference if anyone needs the same infos.

Thank you again for your valuable help.
