This is a VERY weird comment. At the same time as recognising that macrumours isn’t just for a US audience, you also comment suggesting they should not only just focus on things US citizens may be interested, but actually only things that YOU alone are interested in.

Aside from MacRumors being an international site, it is also a technology site. This seems to be great tech and shows what's possible. Also, this will compete with Apple in China, a country that Apple is trying to increase it's presence in

All this yapping in these comments about how they copied Apple. Well if you ask me, they done kicked Apple's behind on a product that is just 2 days to officially launch. How they got 3 camera on theirs? Look at the size of the battery, 6,000 and the Apple one is said to have like 4,800. Also it does wireless charging at 50W and the apple one 25W?

At least you realize MR doesn't make this site just for you. My advice is to just skip reading articles you could care less about. In a related sense, I have very little ability to own or purchase an iPhone Ultra foldable, but articles a-plenty on MacRumors and I realize others might have interest.
I, for one, do like to know what the competition is doing and Xiaomi does make some nice phones and so this information is interesting to me.
Brilliant design and engineering made it possible.

Do you think Xiaomi built this product in the past month to compete with the Fold 8? Do you think the Fold 8 came out of nowhere?
This same thing happened with the “rumored” iWatch. There isn’t some whacky bias going on, the industry knows what Apple is building - and Samsung hedged its bets by splitting up their Fold 8 line into two form factors “just in case”.

Foldable phone? No thank you at this moment. At this moment there is no foldable phone that is durable more than a year or two and it is not worth spending money on that.

In China it's rivalling a product that already exists, and sadly they haven't announced if it'll be available outside China.

Personally don’t know many people cross-shopping xiaomi or huawei and apple
Yes I’m sure some do in China but even then people are still probably loyal to the ecosystem they’re already a part of

Yea, agree, my reference as to the non-existing iPhone fold...
But there is seemingly more competition in China and that is a big market for Apple
