Yeah, just your typical “morally bankrupt company stealing a competitor’s effective, expensive and well-produced marketing ads” situation. Nothing to see here, no big deal, happens all the time.

Wait....
Thank you for proving my point.

Did they also "accidentally" replace the Apple logo with Xiaomi?

This kind of crap really drives otherwise unbothered people, ok with the competition, to become outright opponents of the brand and of the Chinese culture of copyright infringement. I didn't care either way for Xiaomi but now I just want to see them banned in the West. Let them copy all they want in the Chinese market. They shouldn't be allowed to do business in countries that value intellectual property.

Xiaomi clearly cloning Apple’s stuff to the point that they think they can get away with “accidentally” posting the wrong ad content. Huawei has been busted several times for using DSLR images (stock ones at that) and claiming them to be from their phone. Sheesh.

Is there really no end to their blatant lazy desperate copy cat moves ? The word leech springs to mind as well as some other expletives.

Copying someone doesn’t have the same negative taste everywhere. If anything it could be seen as honoring someone in some cultures

it would not surprise me if they got apple's source code from an insider for it and worked off of that. if they are so blatant in copying other parts, why put any effort into the hardest part?

This is why I am surprised a lot of folks buy products from Samsung or Chinese knock offs! Why spend money on half ass clones when you can buy the original product? Why invest your hard earned dollars encouraging laziness versus innovation?
