People who got the XS Max, do you still like it? Is it too big?

I still love it, yeah. It's not too big for me. The only thing that sometimes bothers me is the weight when using a robust case like from Otterbox or Rhinoshield. It does get a bit heavy.

Sometimes I feel it’s a bit too big. Although most of the times I’m fine with it. I don’t really use my phone much.

I've had the Plus sized phones since the 6 Plus. I was concerned at the time that it might be too big, but I also knew the only way I would know for sure would be to take advantage of Apple's 2 week return policy: get the Plus, give it a fair shake for a couple of weeks, and if it was too big, I could return it and get the non-Plus size, no harm no foul.

Turns out, I loved the Plus size. Yeah, it took me about three days to get used to it, but once I did, there was no turning back. The extra screen real estate was amazing for watching videos, reading emails, text conversations, web pages, documents, etc.

When the X came out, I loved it, but missed the extra real-estate of a true Plus sized phone. I said multiple times throughout that year, "I really hope Apple comes out with a 'Plus' sized X in 2018." Of course that was the XS Max, I got it on day one (as per my usual), and have loved it ever since.

Whatever Plus sized model comes out this September I'll be happily getting as well.

I’ve had every plus sized iPhone since the 6+. I upgraded my 7+ to the X in 2017 and used it for 18 months before upgrading to the XS Max in March. I love the size of this phone and can’t see myself going back to any phone smaller than the XS Max. It do feel a bit heavy when I use my Case-Mate glitter case and Casetify case. Right now I’m using a clear case that don’t add any bulk.

I like the larger size.
I don’t like the Intel modem, but the camera’s much better and as such it’s my daily driver for creating content.

First and foremost is a phone. Sadly mine is a $1200.00 paper weight.

I would argue it’s also a camera. I don’t have the source on hand but there’s a solid graph somewhere that illustrates how dedicated shooters have been going down in popularity ever since smartphones were released.
[doublepost=1562900027][/doublepost]Also the XS Max has had screen->body spacing issues (there are threads on it).

Here’s my experience:

Still love mine and love the big screen on it, i only wish it was a bit lighter. Same weight as my X would be perfect!

If you’ve had a Plus sized phone in the past and enjoyed it, you’ll love the XS Max. If you prefer a bit smaller, you might want to consider the XR or the XS, depending on what features you want and how much you want to spend

The size is great. I’ve been having a few issues with mine over the last few weeks though. The main issue is that it doesn’t go to voicemail if I don’t answer straight away. Voicemail is set up but for some reason it doesn’t go to voicemail. The other issue is that it keeps dropping calls over the last few days. Also over the last few days if I’ve been on the phone and I get another calls it’s been automatically disconnecting the first caller and answering the second caller. Sometimes allowing the call to continue or other times just disconnecting the second caller too.

It works for me. Yeah it’s bigger than most phones but it’s still not in the OMG I can’t handle this thing category. I do have larger hands and can do most very basic functions with one hand such as, tapping icons, links etc. that are at the diagonal half of the phone to where my hand is, scrolling vertically and horizontally, switching apps via the app switcher, light short typing. But it’s mostly a two hand device. iPhone X/Xs is definitely more comfortable using with one hand.

This is my first plus sized phone (I’ve wanted one shortly after getting a 6). I’ve previously owned a 3g, 4s, 6 and X(stolen)

Many variables affect the answer to your question. First is the size of your hand, small handed people mind find this iPhone too big
Second, What are you using your iPhone for
If your a gamer or Netflix watcher of course bigger is better However in other situations such as using it for Music etc Size takes no preference

Sometimes I feel it’s a bit too big. Although most of the times I’m fine with it. I don’t really use my phone much.

The only time I feel it’s ‘too big’, is when it’s in the pocket. It’s annoying with the added weight and then obviously it’s kind of a chore taking in/out of the pocket when getting in the car using Apple CarPlay, but that’s just a _minor_ personal gripe that may not apply to others. And I gather when you want a larger smart phone with a bigger battery, this is the trade-off that you have to accept. Outstanding iPhone though.

Agreed on the Modem, it could be much better. My Huawei P30 Pro demolishes my XS Max in 4G and WiFi reception. The XS Max is comparable to my old Samsung Galaxy Note8 in receptio, which is not a bad thing, but could definitely be better.
