I still like it but when I played around with my friends S10+, I prefered the handling on S10+.

Of course, his call failures may have more to do with this:

... than with it being any specific model of phone.
Exactly. The phone gets a terrible cellular connection. My 8 plus same area all bars showing so your thought process is flawed.

Is this some kind of a poor troll attempt ? I'll give it a 2/10 for the effort.
Troll? Nope just an upset customer of Apple because they have sold an inferior product. Others same problem. This appears to only effect the CDMA phones I am on Verizon.

People who got the XS Max, do you still like it? Is it too big?

Yes, still like it. Didn't really expect to, honestly - had and disliked a 6s Plus. It's a little tight in the front pocket of a pair of 501s. Other than that, the extra screen real estate more than makes up for the extra size.

Oh, I love my Max, very very much.

I’ve never liked small smartphones. I refused to move Apple until they introduced the 6 Plus. I will remain on the Max or whatever is the larger sized iPhone for the foreseeable future. The screen real estate is just too important too me.

This phone is not hard to carry around. I’ve used my back pockets quite a bit, especially when traveling and maneuvering through TSA Pre-Check. Since it’s summer, I’m wearing more dresses and keeping my Max either in a pocket of my handbag which is the norm. Even if I carry it in my hand while walking around in the office, for example, it doesn’t bother me.

having the plus size phone every year since the launch of plus phones I cannot wait to change my XS MAX to a normal sized XI for me im looking forward to having a lighter phone that fits in my pockets.

each to there own.. but Im ready for a change ..

With the clear case I’m currently using, I feel like my XS Max is too small. I don’t have an issue with carrying it in my pockets and even though I’m a woman, I barely carry a purse and when I do, I never put my phone in my purse.

- I actually kinda feel you on that. I have a clear case and it's the minimalist case I have in my collection. I kind of see what you mean - but stilllll loll

Yes mine don’t add any bulk and it also blends in with the camera bump so my phone can lay flat on its back.

It’s ok. It NOT worth the hype and I wouldn’t but it again if give a do-over. It’s a great phone itself but no way is it worth $134x.

It is most definitely not worth the asking price, which is why I'll be keeping mine until it breaks. I said 3 years, but honestly that might be too short. Basically, I could easily see keeping it until the iOS updates dry up.

Then it'd be time to move on.

I will admit this phone was expensive. I didn’t pay up front for it as I thought I would be upgrading this year, but decided not to. It’ll be paid off in September though and I’ll have it unlocked so I can use eSim then. I never pay up front because I don’t know for sure if I’ll be upgrading the following year.

Honestly, 0% financing is better financially anyway. I buy outright for peace of mind, but really if you can pay monthly you can do other things with the money you would have spend up front.

Apple makes an incredible processor for its phones. That just makes them so futureproof down the line. Plus, you get 4-5 years of software updates. That's just amazing.

I kinda like having a large smart phone (Mainly for the display/bigger battery) and then a smaller one, what I used to do was use my iPhone SE in the past and then I would switch the SIM card to my ‘Plus’ size iPhone. It was the best of both worlds really, but eventually I did abandon the SE, now I just have my larger phone, but I would gravitate towards a smaller iPhone if Apple offered it again.

Agreed I’ve upgraded each your and feel like a sucker for paying so much. This is my fault not blaming apple.
