Ordered 5 for $7.49! I was wondering, do you have to make your own solution to wet the screen protector?

Yes, you make your own solution. Their suggestion is a drop of dish washing liquid in a bowl of water.

I just successfully ordered 3 Extreme Guards (Full Body Protection) total: $4.99 paid via Paypal and free shipping via 1st class mail. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so curious where this item is shipped out from so I might get an idea how long it might take for my package to arrive.

Can't remember where they come from, but it took 3 days (including a Saturday) for me to receive them and I'm in the bay area. Ordered the 27th, received the 1st.

Do you think it's fine to use water only?

I also have a solution from Skinomi TechSkin Screen Protector. Do you think that would work too?

Order today as well! Was gonna get a Zagg one since they had a stand in the mall, but for $3, that's awesome!!

how can a wet install not damage the phone's screen/back long term? you're applying soap and it stays there for months/years. How can that possibly do any good? and I see people on youtube spraying water all over the phone ignoring the spaces for the mic, volume, etc. Phones are not supposed to take baths

Agreed! I ordered too but now I'm worried about getting my phone wet! But Invisible Shields also use wet apply so I guess it should be fine.

You are not going to give the phone a bath. I would say it is similar to the phone getting wet in rain or something. The phone is off when you apply, and you leave it off for a couple of hours or until you think it is dry.

Dry it for 24-36 hrs to be safe and not void your warranty. If Apple finds out its a wet install they'll end the conversation about replacement. You could just go get a Galaxy S3 at this point.

I've used these type of wet install skins since my flip phone days. I have been obsessed with keeping gadgets shiny and naked for a long time so thank god for glass screens nowadays. Never had any water damage. You should only be using enough liquid so the skin can be repositioned. A "bath" is excessive. Soak up any excess while you squeegee. Leave the phone off for the night if you're worried. I never have.

my ten sets came in yesterday and I'm gonna try them today. I currently have the Zagg kit on my phone. I'm hoping this brand will be better.

Installed it last night and it was easy and looks great. I did get a little piece of dust underneath it but you can only see it if I point it out. I thought the "wet" install was going to be hard but it went much better than the sticky ones I have installed before. I was super careful about only using enough water go get it on and basically kept it away from speaker and didn't squegee off the bottom.

I can't be assed to read this entire thread, but it's worth noting that the "full body" protectors do not include the sides. You simply get front and back screen protectors.

Just applied mine to the back. After applying and letting dry 15 minutes, I noticed a small hair so I pulled the protector back about half way then removed the hair then reapplied that half. I however, am seeing very slight discoloration. Is that because it hasn't dried enough yet? Will that go away after a night of sitting? Or am I best to pull the whole thing off and reapply?
