I thought I had yellow-gate, but I compared my model to the demo ones in store and my one was actually brighter at manual max-brightness. It was ever so slightly yellower, probably, but definitely not dimmer.

I thought I Had hiss-gate, but I filmed a video at the same time and location with an iPhone 6S and an iPhone 7 and the background noise was identical.

Got my iPhone 7 Plus today all great but i do have the hissgate issue. It did not bother me at first as I have to put my ear to the phone to hear it. But it interferes with video recording and phone calls.

So yes this is an issue and yes it is something to complain about.

I don't think anyone said it doesn't exist but there are numerous threads already for that. This thread is for the happy new owners.

That seems fair to me.

I haven't officially measured my battery life ... But, with normal use I charged my iPhone 6 every other night .. Right now my iPhone 7+ is on the charger at ~25% almost 48 hours after unboxing and being a new phone it has seen heavy use.

Oh I've been on it full time since I got it so mine was noisy 16 hours. I expect it will last longer after it finishes all the downloading.

No yellow screen and very bright.

Do have a very faint hissing when i hold the back to my ear. but would have never found out without reading it here. and videos don't seem to pick it up. so it's not a problem.

I have noticed the "hissing". It really wouldn't bother me too much if I didn't use my phone to record videos for my job. There is definitely an audible difference between the background feedback from my old phone (iPhone 6 Plus) and my new one (7 Plus). It sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel.

Yes, I could get a separate camera, but I chose a phone with a decent camera for the convenience.

I don't plan on returning the phone, yet, but I am recording a competition on the 1st and if the feedback is obnoxious, then I might consider it after that.

I'm with you on the video part. I'm not to overly concerned about the noise heard when holding it to your ear. But when taking video and getting a definite feedback (that I didn't have with my 6s+), that is no bueno.

Maybe I'm missing something.... but all my phones 5s,6,6s all "hissed"

Mine is fine as well. At least I haven't noticed any hissing. My screen to me looks fine. I never compared it to my 6s plus because I just sent it off to trade it in at Verizon but to me the screen looks as good to me. I have zero issues as of today. Hopefully it stays that way.

RE: Hiss-gate - I can upload my videos if you want. Sounds pretty much the same on my 7 Plus and my girlfriend's 6S. The only difference is the static noise is slightly higher in pitch on the 7.

Interesting - they do not check them before transmission for sale? I made an order, so what? I just hope for the best?

7+ 256GB Jet Black here. No issues with fit, finish, buzzing, hissing, display, or camera. Had the phone about a week now and not a single issue, it has been a worthy upgrade from my chipped screen 6+.

My phone is great except for the static bursts during video recording. If Apple cannot patch this, I will have to return.

Okay so I just received my 7+ today. I've been playing with it for about 4 hours or so. So far I love it! The camera looks great! I can't tell anything different with the screen. No cracking, bending, popping sounds. I do have a slight "hiss", but it's only noticeable if I hold the back side phone up to me ear, which lets be honest no body does that with normal use.

I was a little skeptical about the solid home button, but already I've gotten used to it. I'm coming from a iPhone 6 so 3D Touch is a great feature that I've enjoyed. I've also noticed that the Taptic Engine gives my phone a stronger more noticeable vibration.

Overall satisfied, I understand that there are people who will get defective phones and those people certainly should get a replacement. What boggles my mind is people who are so not picky about things that the average user won't notice in normal day to day use.

Enjoy!
