I am really struggling to get decent battery life from my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

What I've done so far but without luck :

- Unpaired watch, and paired again with a restore.
- Unpaired watch, and paired again as a new watch.
- Reset network settings
- Reset all settings
- I have terrible cellular range at home, so airplane mode at home
- Nothing runs in the background except what is needed.
- Unpaired AirTags (find my activity)
- Location services only what needs it
- Removed widgets
- IGMP snooping on for the home accessories for unnecessary traffic.
- Removed Exchange mail account for my work
- Mail accounts on fetch.

Using console on my MacBook and connected to the iPhone the amount of faults and errors messages are extreme, but then again same on my iPad, guess most are not really errors or faults...

Using Coconut thru wifi see how it's discharging, it's rarely on like 0.03watt, also bit higher doing something...

So what is left is a erase everything and start scratch but ouch really don't wanna do that... But I can't see anything in the battery view what might causes it. I thought I had it with the low cellular range, but Airplane mode did not made a lot of difference.

If anyone has another idea instead of starting scratch or contact Apple please do. Also I might need more patience and let it work it out after I did the reset all settings yesterday.

See my attached screenshot, one day I had 12 hours, but that was 6/7 background stuff so screen off. Usually most of the days before Saturday where with 50% screen off (Apple Music, Homekit activity, find my).

Wow that's horrible battery life above. As long as you're on wifi, cellular signal shouldn't affect you too much. I used to live in a deadline - so much so I couldn't receive/make calls - and being on wifi resulted in no abnormal drain (at least for me).

I'm a light user but here's my 13 Pro Max: (set up a new watch yesterday hence the abnormal usage there)

Well I think I finally found the issue :D

Checking the analytics logs I found a log called Runner.wakeupds_resources and apparently you only have this when this issue occurs (checked my collegues iPhone) and it happens that my Hue lights wake up my iPhone for more then 45001 times in 150 seconds (WTF), see my screenshot. Gonna unpair that crap and hopefully solved then.

What is the consensus for typical battery drain overnight on iPhone 13 Pro? (Not Pro Max)

A few weeks ago I saw only a few percent, but on two recent nights when I tested, I saw -18% and -9% from about 10pm to 8am. That seems high for being on wifi. Again, throughout the night I saw high use from "Find My" and Calendar. (?)

PS: On a recent visit to Apple Store the advisor recommended "Reset All Settings" for battery issues. She said this should be reset battery calibration. It turned out that my 11 Pro issues were caused by a swollen battery. And that phone had been replaced in Feb 2021!

How can I see this analytics screen on my phone? I also have issues with my battery.

Following up here...

I traced my issue to using Wifi Sync to my Mac.
My problem went away completely with zero known reason for several weeks.
Then suddenly it came back, terrible battery life. I could see on the graph that it started around noon on a particular day.
I figured out that I had connected to my iPhone using Apple Finder via Wifi around noon that day.

I turned off Wifi Sync, bam. Amazing battery life.

Interesting. I have no logs called "Runner.wakeupds_resources." But I have several "backboardd.wakeups_resource" which show the same thing: "45001 wakeups over last 257 seconds..." Problem is all the mentioned threads and processes appear to be system/iOS processes without an obvious cause.

I just turned off Wifi sync with my MacBook Pro, so I'll see what happens.

Interesting. What version of macOS are you running? The reason why I ask is that I have WiFi sync turned on on 2 Mac computers, one running Catalina and the other running High Sierra. I have not seen any battery drain related to that. I think I will try turning it off and see if my battery life gets any better. I am already getting amazing battery life and I can't imagine it getting any better then it is now.

I found no difference with it checked on or off myself. Curious what you find.

I'm not sure what you were expecting to see different.
If you already had great battery life, then this "fix" likely wouldn't change anything.

Anyone with drain might give it a try and see.
It's certainly way less destructive than the other proposed solutions like wiping your phone.

It seemed to correct an issue and I was curious to see what affect it would have for me. It was not a matter of expectation.

Turing off WiFi sync hasn’t done much for me over a week or so. Judging from 10-day chart, perhaps a slight improvement. Thanks for the idea tho.
