Yea, I don't get it either. KęviKęv is a great guy, and he doesn't get paid to promote cases on YouTube or with written reviews. He's just a guy that's trying to sell cheap cases to us make a living. It's funny to think that we spend quite a bit of money on Apple products, but cheapen out when we buy Yoobao cases. (Honestly, I'm not paid either. I'm just OCD with all of my Apple products, and I've been this way since my Macintosh LC, which I had long before MacRumors existed. Note that I've been a forum member since 2002, but perhaps longer since I remember there was some forum transition at one point. Hah!)
As an aside, I had a SwitchEasy Canvas for a day. I thought it was too thick and added too much bulk, so I returned it. My interim case that I've used since first generation iPad is the ultra cheap Kensington Netbook Reversible Sleeve (which cannot accommodate iPad with the Yoobao Executive Leather on). I'm pretty happy with the Yoobao Executive Leather since it's thinner than the Canvas. However, while I'd ideally want an iSlim (plastic back protection case), I think I might hate how a plastic back case might crack or wear more easily and less elegantly than a leather back. Personally, I'm interested in the iSmart because I really liked the folding triangle design of Apple's Smart Cover. Alas, I'm impatient and settled for the Executive Leather, inspired by Apple's first generation iPad case. Then again, the Executive Leather's front (with only a single seam) might look more professional for meetings than the multi seam design of the Smart Cover-inspired iSmart and iSlim.
One little nit picky thing about the case I'm noticing now: the front flap that covers the front face of iPad is actually smaller than the dimension of the enclosing portion of the case that holds iPad in place. It isn't a big deal since the front face is fully covered, but it's just a nit picky thing that some people might not really like. Personally, I think it's fine since I can more easily open the front flap of the case. Precisely, the top and bottom of the front flap don't perfectly "align"/"match" with the enclosing portion of the case that holds iPad securely.
For those concerned with the front flap sliding around, causing the sleep/wake to activate, I've had no such issues with my black version. It stays pretty rigid and even if you force the front flap to slide, it doesn't activate the sleep/wake.
Not a big deal: when you hold the iPad upside down with its front face facing the ground, the front flap does flip open. The magnets do not hold the front flap in place. Perhaps a rubber band or soft clip could hold the front flap closed, if you find this concerning.
The stitched seams at the center "binding area" where the leather interior flap folds over to secure iPad in place... They seem to curve inward a bit, which seems to serve the curvature of the iPad, helping hold iPad in place at its corners. Some might view it as a defect, but I kinda think of it as a nicely taylored product. Meh, maybe it's a defect. But it isn't a big deal. I think it's just the way it's stitched, well enough to accept the curvature of the iPad's back aluminum shell and the corners that curve.
The dock connector isn't perfectly centered, but it's accessible with no problems. Similarly, the speaker hole preforations seem to be more than needed, but again, there are no problems.
In the end, it's an awesome case for the value. I'm pretty happy with it. And highly recommend it for its value. There are some small nit picky things, but they're overcome by the value. Additionally, other Yoobao cases seem interesting, so I'd be excited to hear from others who purchase them when they become available.
