Echoing mtehonica-- dxply a GREAT ebay seller. I ordered on Sunday, case arrived Wednesday in Phoenix. Workmanship is terrific, I don't detect any bad smell some have noted.
While I like the case, I'm just too used to the less bulky Apple case and, despite the dirt issues, still prefer it. I probably should have waited for the clip executive case dxply has mentioned.
If anyone interested in buying my case, I'd be happy to sell it for $40 too-- postage included. Just PM me (I think I have that set up properly.) I leave Sunday for vacation, so will only be able to mail on Saturday 6/12, otherwise won't be able to do anything until I return on 6/23.

Lol finally got the case after 11 days. It's elastic straps even though I asked the seller for a flap specifically and he said yes it's a flap. Second it's the exact same design as V1 with more edges covered, the larger light sensor cutout, which doesn't allign, and the sides don't sit flat like in Richards video. And the port holes aren't aligned. The mic is always covered no matter how much I try to move the ipad inside,and the volume rocker is a bit covered as well.
I'm going to dispute this with eBay. He screwed me over when I asked for a V2 flap and he gave me V1 straps.
Also, dplxy as I understand there are only two versions? V1 no flap and V2 flap? If so, what these guys are doing are taking V1 and sewing elastic straps on them.

If you got it from this guy: ebesthoo168. I got sent the same one, I'm sending it back. We'll see if he comes through with the refund.

Haven't mailed it yet. Might go the dispute route; I know someone on here already has with this character. Might do it just to make a PITA out of it and stop this clown from selling these modded cases.

I don't know what Yoobao's plans are, but I somehow got the impression that they would not actually discontinue making the V2 case -- I had just requested, via dplxy, if they could modify the Executive design (which is viewable online, but not currently available for purchase). I'm pretty impressed that this manufacturer is even able & willing to take requests like this from individual customers
Are you waiting for delivery of the V2 case? Or have you not yet ordered it? As I said, I don't know what Yoobao is planning to do w/regards to my request, but I assume you will still be able to get the V2 case, in any event.

So I've had the case for 4 days now and the smell is almost totally gone. Just wanted to let others know if they are concerned about the smell complaint some of us had made - it eventually goes away.

Did you mean "without" leather covering the bezel?

Yes, that (sorta) is what I meant -- I just said it the other way around.
My understanding of the different versions is: the V1 is the original design, which lacked a flap to keep the iPad from sliding out of the case when propped up in landscape orientation -- then, in response to customer requests, Yoobao added the flap & thus created the "version 2" design.
Meanwhile, a "version 3" (the "Executive") was already viewable online, but not yet for sale -- this one differs from the other two designs in that it does NOT have leather covering the bezel, but instead holds the iPad in the case by means of 4 clips, which grip the corners of the iPad, and don't obstruct the face of the device at all.
So, like you, I'm hoping they will modify this V3 design to better hold the 'Pad in place, and release it for sale.

Anyone know how well the flap holds up to taking the iPad in and out of the case? I plan to use my case while on the go, but will probably have the iPad unsheathed in the house...hence putting it in and taking it out repeatedly.

What this seller sent me doesn't jibe with the V3 description earlier in this thread. Can someone help clear this up because the seller indicates the difference V2 - V3 is merely an elastic strap to hold the iPad in the case There's no mention of the bezel being unobstructed, or it using clips to hold the unit. The photos in the links below don't show clips.

Good thing I also bought one from dplxy as a backup (he listed them after I placed an order with CN/HK seller), which I am currently using.
The description and pictures have been changed from leather *flap* (which now I'm suspecting the seller just copied the whole thing from other listings), to the elastic straps one.
Just finished sending the seller a message. I hope he doesn't get showered by this same kind of messages and get back to me soon. The thing looks pretty atrocious that I don't want to sell it on craigslist; would feel guilty about it.

@jejagua: I think peapody actually refered to the executive model (the one with rails), it is not V3, it's a whole another model entirely.
Bottom line, if it's not V2, it is not genuine, and you do not want it (elastic straps).

I sold my crappy ebhoo-one on craigslist. Even with the elastic straps, the buyer didn't seem to mind. Just be honest about them.

There are only 2 Version on the market by Yoobao
this is the V.1 with out flap
this is the V.2 with flap
that's it
there are no type A,type B, V.3
The flap holds the iPad in place perfectly. I have been using it for 10 days in a hospital with my Mom, and she watches videos on it in the upright position, with the flap holding the ipad from slipping down. She is unable to hold it, so the iPad will sometimes stay in that vertical mode for 4-6 hours straight. It does not budge. I often take it out of the case, to clean, use etc, at home. No stretching or signs of wear.
Have had the case for two weeks now, just love it!
