Did they use real leather or PU leather? (and yes i do chuckle when I see the term PU leather).
yoobao told me it is 100% oxhide
i also used my lighter to burn it a little bit
no shape change at all
so im sure it is leather, not pu "leather"
also getting a simple of their screen cover for iPad
mat finish and clear finish
# Anti reflection coating can improve the quality of the image.
# Unique optical polyester film with a super transmission rate over 95%.
# More bright color and upgrade the screen to mirror screen.
# Feel stylish and will not change your screen outlook.
# Reduce UV ray caused by reflected light and protect your eyes and skin.
when it gets really dirty, you can wash and reattach it. i think that's pretty cool
even my invisible shield for iphone cant wash or reattach
i did that after reading the info yoobao sent me....
and now my iphone doesn't have a screen cover..
not sure why i did that -_-

Thus far I have not attached any screen protection to my iPad, so have learned it's possible to get rid of the unavoidable fingerprints on my screen by gently wiping it with a teeny amount of isopropyl alcohol -- this is the stuff that is wiped on your arm in a medical clinic when you are about to have a blood test or an injection... & it seems to be safe for the iPad, too![]()

iPad is really the best fingetprint magnet...
Is starting to piss me off LoL
5 mins and is all over the screen
Sitting at a coffee shop, pull out the tshirt and wipe the screen..
not a pretty picture.
I'm so putting on a screen cover...
Yeah, lol-- the fingerprints drive me nuts, especially when my iPad is turned off, the screen is dark, I look at it right before turning it on to show medical images to an important doctor & I realize I need to clean off the screen before they look at my 'Pad! Lucky that there's always alcohol wipes around in medical offices
So here's my question about the screen covers --
don't they collect fingerprints, too? I mean, don't you have to wipe off the screen anyway, even though it's covered with transparent film?
Macwheels
the screen cover will be here with the cases
so i will let you know once i get it
but they said is mat finish
so i hope it will keep the fingerprint to minimum

If you guys want to start talking about screen protectors, either use an existing thread talking about them or start a new one.
So far this thread has been a great source of information about the YooBao cases, please lets not change that by filling it up with off topic stuff.
Thanks.
Oh good -- I am very glad I can buy it made out of real leather, not synthetic stuff-! I was concerned by all the comments in this thread, about the cases being "stinky" or smelly -- however, I actually like the smell of leather (as long as it's not been processed with some harsh or unusual chemicals, generally my past experience is that the smell is not truly irritating).

Hey dplxy -- I didn't actually notice that the "Executive" case design included a magnet -- but I'm very glad you mentioned it, since it seems that now's the perfect time to give Yoobao some feedback about this. I have seen several comments in MacRumors threads from iPad owners of other cases, who have definitely experienced magnetic interference with their iPads' compass function. So I am in favor of your idea to *totally remove* any & all magnets from the Yoobao Executive case.
I currently own the Apple folio case, and don't mind one bit that it has no latch or strap to keep the cover from flopping open. In fact, I actually like it very much that I can just flip the iPad gently open (and also closed) when I'm in a hurry to display some medical images(ya know doctors, they really don't have time for latches & all that stuff!)
So my 2 suggestions are:
1. no latch necessary --
2. To address the issue of the iPad falling out of the corner clips, why not simply make the clips longer? This is currently done in the Noreve case, and also in Ozaki's "iCoat" iPad case.
See the attached photo (= the Noreve iPad case) and the link below to Ozaki's webpage for their iCoat case:
http://www.ozaki.us/en/2010/icoatnotebook/gallery.htm
I have no idea if making this modification to Yoobao's case would raise legal/patent infringement issues, but I kinda doubt it, since both Noreve and Ozaki are doing similar things with their designs. I am not an attorney, howevah... just an eager customer!

Just got the one I purchased from dplxy (super fast shipping by the way!) but I'm not a huge fan of the case. It adds a little too much bulk for me. Think I'm going to stick to my Apple case for now. The case doesn't fit as tightly as the Apple case either due to it being leather. The front flaps poke up a little in a few places. If anyones wants to purchase it, I'll sell it for the same price I bought it for $40. I only used it 15 minutes and now it's back in the box like new.
So did anyone test the V2 Yoobao case to see if the magnets messed with GoogleMaps?
this case definitely looks like the way to go. I'm definitely gonna invest in one as soon as dplxy has more in stock.
Edit: dplxy: since I'm not yet able to PM, can you put me down for a black one as soon as you get your next batch?
Hello dplxy,
I have been looking into getting one of the Yoobao black leather ipad cases. What is the best way to contact you?
I have a brand new one that I just bought from dplxy a couple days ago that I'm looking to sell. I put it on my iPad for about 15 minutes to try it and decided it's too bulky for me.
