Yoobao leather iPad case (OP updated with all revisions)

What makes you choose Yoobao over the luxury?
I just shoose a magic from Amazon.
Okay. Actually, I am THIS close to ordering a Scosche foldIO from Amazon :-D I like the carbon look.
Received my Slim Case about 3 days ago and love it! Shipped in 2 days from NY via Amazon.
The leather appears real to me..smells great! Case holds the Ipad very securely. I love how I can fold the front cover neatly behind the back with no large wedge or spine. Folds very flat. It adds a little weight, but gives the Ipad a nice feel to it!
Only negative is that I don't really like the buckle. I think if anything it should have gone on the front. Or they could have used magnets to keep the front cover closed. Also the back is slightly rounded (not completely flat). I"m sure this helps protect the ipad, but when holding it in landscape, the front cover won't completely lie flat due to the slight curvature of the back..again not a real big concern at all.

Have had mine a few weeks now and it was great at first. But the case is losing it's stiffness and when I fold it over for the typing mode it will not stay and starts sliding
That looks like it could be the case we've all been asking for — identical to the Apple case, just made from a better material.

Could this be The One We've All Been Waiting For?
Received my Yoobao Apple-style case today. It's described on the packaging as "Yoobao Lively Case".
The good: It's a precise clone of the Apple case, so all the things that are good about that case — the basic design, the typing angle, the lack of added bulk — are replicated in this one. Plus, the material it is made of (obviously PU leather, aka "pleather", rather than genuine leather) has none of the fingerprint, dust and dirt magnetic properties of the Apple case. If you want the Apple case, minus the crud, this is the one to get.
The bad: The pleather feels cheap. It's nowhere near as good quality as the faux leather of the V3, and there's no way anyone would mistake it for real leather.
The ugly: It has the slightly off-putting smell others have reported with (some) versions of the V3/Magic case — hopefully this will diminish over time (indeed, a quick run with 303 Protectant seems to have tamed the worst of the pong already).
Bottom line, at twenty quid it's cheaper than the Apple case and easier to live with aesthetically. If you're sick of having to clean the Apple case daily, but prefer the basic design to any other case (as I do), give it a go.

I have problems with the clasp my Yoobao Magic. Sometimes the cover flap has come open in my bag. Surely this new case is going to be even worse? There is no clasp at all. How will it stay shut?
Got my Yoobao "Apple Clone" case in this past week...and am enjoying it quite a bit. Yeah, the pleather isn't super, but its as said, WAY better than the Apple case. The smell went away after a night out in the open. The border that goes around the screen is smaller compared to the Apple branded version, so in my book thats also a huge plus. Awesome case Maybe will get a real leather version in the future.

Buying one of these cases is confusing as all hell, the model names seem to keep changing, even on their official eBay site

Bear Motion Genuine Leather Case Folio
On Amazon look for the "Bear Motion Genuine Leather Case Folio." It's $6.00 cheaper and includes shipping for even more savings. I ordered it a few weeks ago and it comes in the Yoobao box, and has Yoobao on the cover so its the real deal. However this is not the newest case being sold on ebay which is PU leather minus the plastic corners

Do not buy this one from BMDepot. You will not get the slim pictured one, they will send you the one that covers a bit of the screen and is quite bulky.Buying one of these cases is confusing as all hell, the model names seem to keep changing, even on their official eBay site

Just got one today in the post in blank from Amazon.co.uk. in England cost £35.00.It said on Amazon in apple Ass New V3 but only in black.
I have to say that they are very good all round and i think money well spent.

well that issue is fixed with the new ver4 rev d magic case but theres only a few sellers that have these so do be careful they were just released a few days ago.
