Wow, the screen completely stopped working after just two drops at waist height? I've dropped my other phones dozens of times at that height without a problem.. yikes :(

Well, I stand corrected ifixyouri. Egg on face. Thanks for sacrificing a fully working phone for that.

As a side note:
Why can't people shoot these videos indoors, or in a parking garage? Nothing is more annoying than the sound of wind on a sh*tty microphone.

Such a valuable thread here. Did anyone else notice they repair iPhones? So let's drop it several times in a row and see how long it takes to break. This phenomenon is not just limited to the iPhone for all of you educated people out there. Good God!

Well the point is people were saying, glass phones are going to break too easily, and it did.

Seriously, who doesn't drop a phone at least twice in their time using it? That's going to be one babied phone. And it's suckage, because then you have to use a bumper or case or some other ****, and then the iphone isn't iphone at all, it's just another gunky looking smartphone in an ugly case.

I could of sworn that apple announced this one was indestructible. Well that's it, I'm going to the droid

I'm still taking my chances without a case, it just looks too awesome without a case to put one on.

So, let me get this straight... You drop your iPhone, and it breaks?

I need to ponder this a while......

The issue here is the glass on the front and back are supposed to be this super durable Gorilla Glass.
Didn't look to durable to me.
The fact that it only took 3 drops to shatter it says a lot.

I've dropped my 3GS on more than one occasion. (A lot more than 3 times)
Maybe not always from 4 feet, but darn close to it.
Driveway, stairs, parking lot... you name it, I've probably dropped my phone on it at least once.
The case is the only thing that saved it from any real damage.

I dropped mine in gravel earlier :/ it dented the edge in three spots and scratched the screen a little bit. But it's whatever. I was pissed, but I've cooled down.
