1. The girlfriend/wife is out of town and you keep your MacBook Pro on her side of the bed while you sleep.

2. You don't let anyone touch your MacBook Pro unless they have relatively clean hands (doubly so if you're using a MacBook).

3. The only thing you'll ever put on top of your MacBook Pro when the lid's closed is an iDevice, and even then you're wary.

4. You think of the blinking white sleep-indicator light as your MacBook Pro's heartbeat.

5. You gave your MacBook Pro a name.

When you travel so much with your MBP your friends have nicknamed you "Mac & Me"

I have one. I actually started having dry hands to the point where they're cracking a bit because I wash my hands SO MUCH during the day to keep oils off my MBP.

Also, I put one thing on my MBP. I put a clean and soft dish towel on it when I have it on my breakfast bar with the lid closed just in case the cats happen to walk on it if I'm not in the room. They've never attempted to walk on one of my laptops but I figured better be safe than sorry. I'd hate to have to kill my wife's cat. That may prevent me from buying MBP's in the future when I have to pay child support and alimony over the next 20 years. :D

One of my friends got married to her MBP; srsly tempted to marry mine.

But then... the idea of consummating our love would violate my general obsessive tendency to keep the MBP surgically clean. Lol! :D

That's so me. My wife gets so pissed that I make her do that. lol

I'll join this one. My wife gets offended sometimes because I make her feel like she is too dirty too touch it. "NOT THE SCREEN! FINGERS OFF THE SCREEN!"

RIGHT???????? Tell me about it. She just tells me off. Thats why I upgraded my MBP. Gave her my old 08 and purchased the late 09. She loved it, but now she want's a uMBP. Do I hear upgrade for me???????? lol

i absolutely ****ing HATE when people feel the need to touch a computer screen. My mom does this, she's pointing something out and trying to touch the screen and I always yell at her. I'm not blind, I don't need a finger print on the screen to tell me what to click. Pet peeve.

whats wrong with not liking finger prints? i might not have an mbp but i have a no finger print policy with the stainless steel kitchen appliances. i clean the screen on my ipod touch like every five minutes too.

You have to understand when it comes to technology for my wife, she could care less how it looks. You should see her laptop. FULL of crumbs, dust and fingerprints all over the screen. In fact I'm so OCD about clean technology and taking care of things, that I spent 1/2 an hour taking a needle and scrapping every crumb out of every crack and cleaning the whole thing lol. It drove me crazy. So naturally I'm terrified that if I let her touch my pristine baby the same will happen.

My wife always get mad because I keep my MBP shiny and clean, and her netbook is always dirt... because my kids play with it everytime... There's no way I will let my kids play with my baby, not a chance... :apple:

I've got one:

Whenever your using your MacBook Pro you have the little black duster by your side and wipe the screen every few seconds because tiny specs keep landing on it.

I do that:rolleyes:

Ok, I'm pretty OCD about mine so I'm a bit embarrassed but I:

Don't let anybody touch it

Let anybody near it

Wash my hands to keep oil off of it

I've dreamt that I've scratched my MBP (Does that count as a nightmare??)

I clean my MBP more than my house

Take it everywhere/never let it out of my sight (fear of theft)

Doubled the pad lining in my notebook to protect it

I don't put anything on it, near it, or beside it

Warned my kids what happens if they ever break it

I know...:(

Your not really that alone. I clean it more than anything else, I've dreamed I've broken it, I don't put anything on it, I dust the screen every few secs while using it, I hide it under my bed when I go out, I don't let people use it when I'm not watching...
