I have:
-black bumper
-parent's Griffin Motif
-Geometric
-Luxury Mobile Argyle TPU
-PixelSkin (not HD, the silicone one)
-white Incase slider.
Case's I no longer have:
-Red Defender (returned)
-CandyShell (returned)
-CandyShell revised (returned)
On the way:
-Pixelskin HD
I really like the white incase slider. Possibly more than my geometric since I'm considering using it as my daily driver.
PixelSkin is good protection but bulky. I had the Defender in red, but returned -- way too bulky. I had the CandyShell but returned -- rubber flaked, scratched like hell, cam flash issue, and not a perfect fit. Bought the revised version a couple days ago, returned it same day. The lock button rubber was recessed, the buttons didn't feel as good -- I just didn't like the feel of it anymore after trying other cases.
So far, Incase Slider and Geometric are my favorite of the bunch.
The bumper is great but I'd be afraid if I drop it, it will offer zero protection.
incase slider feels great, looks great, and it makes my phone white again with a white border. Reminds me of my white 3GS
What do you guys think of the incase slider? compared to pixelskin hd/geometric?
Geometric plus:
-unique design
-nice TPU feel
-love the raised buttons for lock/volume keys -- easy to hit
-thin enough, seems protective
-not flat, feels good in the hand, nice groove
-easy to take off
Cons:
-a bit of wiggling in the case (not too much though or enough to worry about it falling out)
-How protective is it? I don't know
-smudging with the shiny parts
-sometimes looks great from certain angles, other times ugly
-not flat, impossible to use without wobbling on a table
-bubbles screen protector if certain pressure is applied to the lip
Incase slider pros:
-sturdy as can be
-feels like great protection
-easy to slide on and off from the bottom for connectors
-white looks great on my black iphone! especially the white border
-feels really nice
-flat for table use
cons:
-slightly recessed home/volume buttons in the case
-some reports of it scratching the side (can't say -- don't care much since I'll probably always case it, I'm afraid of drops)
-$35 is a bit hefty for what it is, but I had rewardzone points.
-can't use screen protector without bubbling (but I don't use a screen protector)
EDIT: here's photos:
That's my dad's i4 with a big apple sticker thrown on his Luxury Mobile Argyle TPU haha. Also, a piece of scotch tape is in the bottom right there, it got misplaced from when I was trying to fix his antenna issue haha. I don't think hehas the problem anymore with the case anyways.
The same case is to the left of it (another LuxMo Argyle). Not going to label all the cases aforementioned because they should be self-explanatory. If not, feel free to ask! Also, the AT&T chair is something I got from a friend who was at a fair years ago. I have no further info.
