I either use my phone to control the AppleTV, or, typically have a bright red USB cord running from the couch to the remote... kinda reminds me of the wired remote I used to have for a JVC VCR back around 1985, but always easy to find.

Wobble? whose putting their Apple TV remote on a table to use it that a wobble would even matter. Complaining for the sake of it.
Mine sits on the end table next to me. Just reach over when all I want to do is pause/play, adjust volume, or jump forward or backward. Use it that way a lot. I won't be getting any case, or an AirTag, for that matter. Just sayin'.

This is awesome. I hate how slim/slippery/small/easy to lose the Apple Remote is. I lose it in my bedroom all the time, this is going to make life a lot easier plus I'm guessing it'll be more comfortable to hold with the added depth.

This has got to be one of the most first world problems things I've seen in a while.

Imagine if someone told you 30 years ago that in the future, we'll have tracking technology to attach to our TV remotes so that it can tell us exactly where the remote is.
Honestly, I would've said "heck yea", especially after we had our kids. A first world problem might not be important in the great order of things, but it's something that we might want to be solved as a small life improvement since we can do it.

I saw this on Amazon a couple days ago and ordered right away. Should be getting here soon. Looking forward to the extra thickness to keep it from sliding down in the couch and being able to locate it using AirTag and HomePod Mini to make it beep. Pretty lame that Apple couldn’t just build this in.
