I find that 99.99% of new years resolutions are just empty and hollow promises.

I've been going to a gym for many years and like clockwork the gym will be jammed packed this month, and then starting in February the membership population starts decreasing back to normal levels by March.

Other promises besides weight loss/getting into shape seem destined to the same fate.

If something is worthy to undertake to improve one's physical, mental, or spiritual self then its not something that should wait until January 1 but start immediately.

I just don't understand why some people bother to make a new year's resolution. If any resolution is of importance, they can start doing it right away anytime of the year instead of waiting for a certain day of the year.

live a more balanced life

on a less serious note, go visit the Apple campus in Cupertino :)

Mine is to actually go through with last year's and walk to work more often. There's a hill involved so it's good exercise... and difficult to convince myself to do.

I hated that when I was a member of a gym.

Well, mine is to get more fit. But I've already started that late last year - and I'm noticing the changes! :)

Nermal: I do about 1 hour of walking per day at fairly good pace. I walk from the station I travel to on to my work place. The station is a large terminal at the outer-edge of the business district, while my work place is right beside the harbour. It's a good 25-30min walk and I do that morning and afternoon, unless the weather is too hot, or too rainy.

An added benefit is avoiding the underground train network which is always hot, stuffy and overcrowded. ;)

Be more of an "donkey" I'm too nice and people get away with it.
Become "full-time" where I work..HA (i can dream can't i...)

Remind myself to ease up a bit on training rides. An avid cyclist for years, when I'm training with my partners no problem. But solo training rides I tend to push too hard and sustained an injury last year.

2nd, buy more Mac Stuff :)
