So the end of the year is looming already. This year has truly flown. With a lot of 2009s most anticipated games now pushed back to 2010 what are you looking forward to / anticipate buying in the run up to xmas ?




For me...

Wii

A Boy and his Blob. I truly can not wait for this title, and thankfully it will be available next month US and November in Europe. I truly adored the NES version.

NSMB a mario platform game on a Nintendo console. Has to be a must buy for any wii owner surely ? 😉


PS3

Uncharted 2. Looks spectacular, and whilst I would have preferred a lot more platforming in the original compared to the action/shooting, this is still very much a must buy.

Ratchet & Clank Platforming is still king in my book and I'm really looking forward to continuing on the lombax struggle 🙂

EyePet My camp side comes to the fore.... It just looks fun, and entertaining. Surely that's the very definition of entertainment


Multiplatform...

Brutal Legend. Can it ever follow Psychonauts brilliance ? I'm not sure but i'll probably give it a go

Dirt 2 enjoyed the demo more than I thought and so I'll buy this.
 
Games I should be buying...

Motorstorm and Gran Tourismo on the PSP, maybe LBP PSP if its out.
Pokemon Platinum on the DS.

Maybe NSMB on the Wii. I don't like the visual style or what I've heard of the music, and they're kinda defining things in Mario games (for me at least). Maybe Metroid Prime Collection.

And the absolute ruler of my upcoming free time...

Uncharted 2 Among Thieves: I loved the first one, and this adds a ton of new things. Online play looks great too, and the replay editor looks sweet! October 13
Ratchet and Clack A Crack in Time: My favorite platformer series ever, and I can't wait. I've played through every R&C title multiple times. October 27
Assassin's Creed 2: Assassin's Creed rocks. 🙂 November 17

Xbox 360
Halo 3 ODST: I'm not the biggest Halo fan, but it's still a decent shooter to play with friends. Firefight looks great too. September 22
Modern Warfare 2: It's Modern Warfare... 2. Do I need to say more? November 10
Left 4 Dead 2: I love the new campaigns, and the melee stuff looks great. I'm still a little disappointed since this game is coming out way too early, but I just love Valve... November 17

360/PS3 (not sure what I'll get it on)
DJ Hero: I don't own any plastic peripheral music game, I'm too cheap to buy them... but for some reason this is just tempting me. October 27

Playstation Portable (I was going to upgrade to a GO, but decided to save my money)
MotorStorm Arctic Edge: I love the Motorstorm titles, and this is an impressive looking PSP game. September 30
Gran Turismo: It took them long enough to finish this game, but it looks great. 800+ cars... wow. October 1
Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier: I love this series almost as much as I love the R&C series. November 3
Assassin's Creed Bloodlines: I love Assassin's Creed, even if it gets a little repetitive. November 17
LittleBigPlanet Portable: I'm a little disappointed by the lack on multiplayer, but the game still looks great. November 17

Nintendo DS
Mario & Luigi: I've got the first Mario & Luigi, and this one looks pretty good. I might get it. September 14
Scribblenauts: Looks quite interesting. September 15

I probably won't get all those games, but I want them. 🙂
And MRU, isn't Splinter Cell a 2010 game?

perhaps GH5 or rockband beatles for the Wii
perhaps Battlefield 1943

and in a few months depending on the money: Dirt 2, Wet or Killzone 2 Platinum (really enjoyed those 3 opposed to some other demos on the ps3)

definate back catalog purchases next week:
Civilization Revolution (after starting the demo i played like 2,5 hours... for 19 € a steal)
Valkyria Chronicles (i liked the art style from screenshots.. after the demo i have to get this)

They normally have preorder sales too where you get 5-10% off. And I'm still hoping for some kind of L4D1 crossover (launch 1 campaigns from within 2) or discount for L4D1 owners. But I'm dreaming 😱.

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon with my only console the 360

The new Halo...without master chief I will probably be reading some reviews before I get it.
Bioshock 2...this is the one I am really excited for and will get the day it comes out.
Modern warefare 2...I am sure it will be good but I probably wont get it the day it comes out.
