It's a Halo game. Do you expect the biased reviewers to give it something under 9/10?
likewise however not because I doubt if will be a good game (if not the biggest selling game this Xmas) but simply because I still have Cod4 MW & Cod5 WaW in my games collection and neither are played any further than 25% tops. I need to finally get round to finishing them before I buy any further Cod games.
I'm glad in a way that there isn't as much out this year as it gives me breathing room to actually finish some titles.

Seems like no one is buying borderlands besides me...oh well I'll just coop with some buddies at playstation.com. I'm hoping this game focus more on looting and exploration than just killing killing and more killing but so far it looks like a good balance.

I'll probably pick it up at some point. Haven't really been following the game too closely and have only read a few short previews.
It's not really been hyped or marketed to such an extreme as yet, a demo on PSN or Live will probably help muster more interest.
I can see this one slipping by the majority though tbh.

^ just watched a good long preview of borderland, the takes 60 shots to kill an enemy even if your shooting them in the head - looks like it could really get annoying to me... I'm not convinced on how it melds FPS/RPG together, to me it's just not convincing from preview footage of either. Will wait for reviews, it seems very 'niche'.

Borderlands is also interesting me, but the heavy shooting seems odd!
But it is a RPG/FPS, so if they can balance the game properly, so it's only the uber guys that can take a spray of bullets in the head, and there's a weapon upgrade, or personal upgrade that makes my character more able to take them out quicker, then I'll probably be happy with it.

I'm adding N.G Sigma 2 to my list. I played the demo and I'm impressed with it...fast, smooth and beautiful.
October is a crazy month with DS, U2, Ratchet N Clank, Borderlands and Sigma....damn!

But why did they cut out the blood from the game ? A game this visceral ?
bizarre Other than that it's ok, but having played 25% of the way through the 360 version before boredom, I'm wondering if I'll bother. They haven't refined the area's that peeved me off in the 360 version such as camera issues.
^Actually I played the 360 version a little and I can tell from the demo the cam is little bit tighter and not getting caught up on the buildings in the demo. I was playing the demo last night and there was blood but not buckets of it like in the 360 version....They cut the gush of blood in dismemberments with purple mist but it doesn't distract from the presentation and the amount of blood in there now is good enough for me.
The movement and fights was very smooth to me and I'm impressed...I know I'll end up getting it before October ends.

^ I guess my main problem i I know I'll probably get stuck again and by the time Ratchet & Clank, Eyepet, Unchartered 2 all hit in the coming weeks I will have lost interest
I did like the team mission mode, but after playing demo I still wish they had at least an option for blood on / off. Nice it's running in 1080p too (though not sure if it's being scaled).

Right now I'm also looking at Borderlands but I'm on the fence whether I'm going to get the PS3 version or see if I can find a couple people to go in on the Steam 4-pack. I tend to abhor FPS gaming on the console so the PC looks like it is winning out.

I'm going to purchase Trine on PSN this thursday....what a hard gaming season..I've bought like 6 games this month alone with Ratchet N Clank next week bringing my total to 7 games for the month of October.
I think this will be it for the year for me but I'm still thinking about Super Mario Wii, Modern Warfare 2 and Saboteur..
