So... does it shoot 8k video? Not a single WORD about it at the keynote is VERY troublesome and suspicious.

And they should call "purple" mauve. Because it is NOT purple.

The dynamic island looks awful and is a downgrade from the notch, which I already hated. When they showed full screen video I cringed so much, it’s so distracting I would personally consider it unusable for consuming 21:9 video.

Wild! I think the majority of people love it. It's one of the more innovative design changes I have seen from Apple in awhile.

I find it wild that anyone considers this acceptable. But each to their own, I’ll stick with what I’ve got for another year and hope they start shoving things behind the screen next year.

What about cases, will the 14 Pro require new cases? Or will cases designed for the 13 Pro work?

So, no upgrade again for me. After I got a full frame Sony a7iv camera, i don’t take pics or video with my phone anymore, so the camera is whatever. The only reason I would’ve upgraded my iphone 12 mini would have been USB-C. I’m sick and tired of carrying two cables around, I’m done with this garbage.

The 13 Pro Max actually had a perfectly designed notch in relation to its screen, so that it was never in the way while watching videos full screen. The regular 13 Pro had a teeny tiny overlap in that regard, but now that this cutout is so much lower, I guess, it will always be in the way of watching videos, which would not be great.
