I just woke up a little over an hour ago, played some Mario Kart Wii with my family, checked my email, Twitter, Facebook and other sites, started listening to some music while responding to a few, including here, planning on going out to a Coinstar Machine later to turn some coins into dollars, and buy myself a MicroSD card for my phone so I can get some music on it. Then Hot Dogs and baked beans for dinner.

I usually use Sundays to do housework. Especially if its nice out because I enjoy cleaning more when the curtains are open but its raining today so I'm designating it to a lazy sunday. So that means I'll do some dishes cook supper and probably end up going watch a movie.

I'm supposed to be working on an essay for my French lit. class, but instead I'm on MR. I will probably go take a shower soon and maybe go out for some lunch, then come home and finally work on the essay.

Wake up, Get ready for worship, teach a primary class, head home, eat, dink around and surf, play, food and family.

To finish my day:

I walked the dogs.
Then did a bit of work for a friend of the family.
Ate some huevos rancheros.
Watched the MotoGP test.
Had a nap.
Walked the dogs again.
Bit more of the work.
Ate some Fajitas.
Watched a Top Gear repeat.
Got into bed...

Woke up at 7:30. Went to church from 9-11:30. Took my son to lunch afterwards. Home to pay bills, etc. Spend time with family for rest of the day.

I'm on call this week, so my hours have been a disaster.

Since no calls came in last night, I slept in until 10.

Must retrieve nasty hockey equipment from garage and wash some stuff before playing on Monday night.
Thinking of what to get for dinner when I go watch Family Guy tonight at a friend's place.
Back to work bright and early tomorrow where I will throw the 24x7 phone at an unsuspecting co-worker.

So far, it's been a nice day. I fully expect one of my customers' networks to go down to wreck it. Any time now...

Ok, so it wasn't one of my networks, it was one that a co-worker maintains. But I'm on call, so woohoo. 7 for 7 days of ruined time off due to being on call.

Don't you get an on-call premium?? We did.

The management of my employer is split. My direct manager thinks we should see a decent bonus for fixing things at 2:30 AM like I did on Tuesday and again on Wednesday. His manager thinks that our salaries cover such things.

We get an extremely laughable amount during the week we're on call. It's enough to assume that we do 4 hours of work during the on-call period at our normal salary.

This will just be one of the points of contention when I decide to leave the company.

Get your job description, in writing, Son. ;)

I applied for 350 jobs before I found this one. I wasn't too picky when it came along. So they'll have to do some magic to keep me there past 365 days. (I promised I'd put in a year unless I felt like I was being taken advantage of)

As crap as this week has been, it's not at the stage of taking advantage since it's only once every 7 weeks or so that I have to deal with it.

My Sundays

Usually I spend my Sundays doing maintenance on my PC---can't wait to get my mac!! and catching up on the homework I didn't do during the week.

How do you let your PC get that bad?

My day hasn't changed from the plan. Which makes the whole day even more boring. Greh.
