My PC is about 6-7 years old. It's super slow and has a tiny RAM, so I have to help it as much as I can.

Fair enough! I usually do a little maintenance bit with the XP side of my 3 year old iMac every month or so. Which is just a C drive clear out, defrag and AVG. Done in an hour or so.

Make sure you guys have run the Windows Updates in the last 90 days. There are some pretty critical patches that have been released.

When April 1st rolls around, whatever conficker wreaks on the public, it will be a direct result of people who don't even patch quarterly. Even Apple releases patches for the OS every month or two. The readership of MR seem to be the type that have the patches installed in under an hour after release. :) Windows users are a little less on the ball in general.

Thanks for the tip! And yeah, I heard that there is going to be some mass virus. Joy.

Ok, so it wasn't one of my networks, it was one that a co-worker maintains. But I'm on call, so woohoo. 7 for 7 days of ruined time off due to being on call.

Yeah i am on call too, for my clients networks. it's a pain when your about to go out for dinner and the phone rings. "we can't access anything" so you miss out on dinner.

What sucks is i don't get anything for it!

S*x first thing in the AM. :D;) (I really find it strange that no one else indulges).
Breakfast with family.
Jog, walk, some type of exercise.
Head to a cafe where there is enough white noise to drown out the angst of writing my book for 3 or 4 hours.
Indian or sushi dinner.
Watching a movie on TV while diddling on MR. Tonight it's "Kindergarten Cop".

Just worked my 49th day in a row. Work has been crazy and they pay overtime, I am saving for physician assistant school, so why not?

5:30 woke up
7-14:30 - work
15:00 - home, messing with my desktop, deciding on buying an imac or a mac pro

1800 : on MR, trying to take a nap before the GF gets home from snowboarding.

Wishing I don't get called in right now, I am on call for another 4 hours.

Tomorrow is my Sunday and I plan to get all my stuff done.

So, you have tomorrow off then?

Yes and I am so looking forward to it. To top it off, I didn't get called in today.

Now to decide on a happy hour on my day off. The Mortons here has the best Happy hour (power hour). Free filet mignon sandwiches and drinks on special. 2 7 dollar martinis and a couple free filet mignon sandwiches? Sounds like my perfect day off!

edit: Now I think I know what you meant. I wish I could do nothing, but I am crazy busy personally and professionally. Got into PA school, moving to Philly in 3 months and trying to clear out my place of all extra stuff for the cash.
