New phones through iup are only bwibg activated with esim - I bet that’s why. Older plans aren’t available on esim and you need a magenta one. Which is total crap
I am going to change to the magenta. This tmobile rep is a pip (in a good way) just told the apple lady to hang up

We’re on Magenta, not working for us. Haha…wow. Good thing these phones aren’t really worth upgrading to. Guess we’ll stick with our 12PM.

Right now I’m on a simple choice promo plan 2 lines for 100 a month. It failed for me - another phone looked like it could enroll on an essentials plan.

I’m getting this error as well. First time trying to upgrade using the plan. I started it with my current phone. What do we have to do?

I was told that because I upgraded the last phone in October to preorder that I had not made the required 12 payments yet. I was told the only way I could get the phone on day of was to buy out the 13 payments when I should’ve been allowed to just make the 12th payment.

I'm on FZLTUL2LP, "T-Mobile One All In Promo@Work", and got the same error. We've been on IUP for years without issues, hopefully this is a temporary bug that they'll fix well before Friday.

That should not be the case with the apple upgrade program. Initially it told me that I had to pay 69.x and I would be able to upgrade before this pre-approval stuff went live.

Let’s hope! I’ve been on iup for about 3 years as well

This happened before when one of the phone was launched a month late, but IUP flow still worked, we just had to pay an extra payment or whatever.

I offered to do exactly that and the dude told me I had to buy out the phone completely. It’s funny cause one of the reasons I went to apples upgrade program was cause I got tired of dealing with T-Mobile’s BS when I wanted to upgrade my phone and now they give me this crap.

I've been meaning to switch to one of the newer plans so I can take advantage of the free line promos, I guess this might force me to do it. I don't really need another line, and with just 2 lines, 2 watches, and an iPad, I think the Max is a bit more than what I'm currently paying (Netflix 4K separately, etc).

tmobile defaults to thinking that you want to use their phone upgrade program when you mention to them the word upgrade.. if you were to upgrade using a tmobile trade in then yeah, that would be the case, if you are going to continue to use the iup then you should be able to upgrade, its a feature built into the iup loan.
