It never was about "can port" but "want port". The Vision Pro market is minor for these companies (so at least right now it doesn't really matter for them to have this app or not).I wonder how different VR apps are for Apple than Meta. Youtube has a native VR app and has for a while. Is it so different that they could not port it over?
Apple of course has some interest to have these big apps onboard but these big companies all have their own interests in deals with Apple. Everything is so interlinked and "giving" Apple a Youtube app for Vision surely was part a bigger package deal waiting to happen between Google and Apple, like what happened now with Gemini.
Pretty sure it's similar with a Netflix Vision Pro app. Pretty sure such already exists and waits to be submitted, but Netflix wants something from Apple to release it but the price seems higher than what Apple is willing to give them right now. Or maybe things happened between those two companies some time ago in another deal that left burned soil (similar to the infamous relationship between Apple and Nvidia, or the love-hate relationship between Apple and Google lasting for many years, which seems to become more chill now with the latest AI agreement between them)
