Does it have a loop function? If not, even more of a joke.
Yes you can shuffle and loop downloaded videos in your playlist on YouTube

Alongside looping and shuffling songs / albums and anything else in Google Play Music too.

Goodness the level of moronic animosity on this forum is palpable.

Nope...wrong... actually, you get the full Google Play Music subscription AND all of the goodness from the youtube upgrade.

Google Music currently costs $9.99.... so now you get that with the YouTube stuff. Most other music streamers cost the same... but no youtube upgrade.

I don't see how that's relevant to arbitrarily puttibg standard app features behind a paywall. I don't want a music streaming service.

They do nothing to earn the money? Just by advertising these apps on the App Store increases the customer base of these companies tremendously. In turn the company revenue soars so Apple should be compensated for it. 30% is what Apple takes and if companies have a problem with it they don't have to use Apple App Store platform simple as that. However they chose to use it and continuously use it, they want their apps on the App Store so they can continue to rake in more customers.

The problem I have is when companies increase their prices and pass it down to customers and try to blame Apple for it. It's just ridiculous. There are plenty other ways to advertise and aquire more customers but they love the revenue the App Store brings them.

No one is just finding out about YouTube in the Apple App store.

The example I always use is this: If you buy an iPad at Best Buy, Best Buy gets a cut of that, because they sold it to you. Now if you subscribe to Apple Music on that iPad, should Best Buy get a 30% cut of that? You bought your device there, maybe you saw a display for Apple Music there. Best Buy has nothing to do with that transaction.

The same goes for subscriptions in the app store. Yes, Apple completely deserves a 30% royalty on selling an app. But as far as in app subscriptions go, it's crazy. Yes, there should be a processing fee, but not 30%. Try 1% or 2% at most since they're dealing with the credit card companies.

I doubt it will take long before they add non music videos to mix after the initial US only phase seeing as it's their platform and content rights should be easier to deal with territory by

I learned from Netflix and others that this is not the case. Sometimes its US only and thats it. When I come online to pay for a movie or service, and find it US only, what do you think I will do? They only leave one option.

Ad free youtube. Background / downloadable content for offline viewing and a Google Play Music subscription included in the price for 10 devices. $10 month for video & audio seems like a very good deal to me personally.
NO! It doesn't ..... at least for me. I don't "do" anything must with Google, except for searches.

Then what's your point ? If you don't use YouTube or want Google's Music Service why even comment or moan about it one way or the other ? I don't want or use a lot of things. I don't need to vocalise and rant about every manufacturer who releases a service that I am not in the demographic for.

Your literally complaining about nothing. About something totally non applicable to you. That doesn't make this a bad or non worthwhile service, it just means your not the target audience or demographic for the service.

I don't use Tampons. I'm not going to rant and moan on a forum when ALWAYS release a version with bigger wings !!! Nor would I imply that Tampons then are useless and irrelevant simply because I don't use them.

You said you can loop DOWNLOADED videos. I don't want to download videos. That's the entire point of streaming them. So...can we loop regular streaming videos i.e. is there a loop button and will it loop the video WITHOUT downloading to device?

His point is to let everyone know he dislikes Google. It makes him feel cool.

i would rather pay 9.00 $ to ad block creator it will worth the money, i can download any video or audio with IDM download manager.

The difference is one option is legal and continues to pay content owners and the other is essentially piracy / theft.

A lot of people seem to be under the belief that content creators should do it for free.

I can see where this would be good for people who are looking for the music side with the added bonus of ad-free and other things, but to anyone else it doesn't really make much sense to me. IMO they should have created an ad-free subscription around a 1.99-2.99ish range, or the option to get Google Play Music for 9.99 with ad-free added as a "freebie" bonus. It kind of seems like they're wanting to force you into using Google Play Music just because you wanted ad-free videos. And I'm willing to be there are a lot of die-hard Spotify users, or Apple Music users, who don't need Play Music. These people may be willing to pay to eliminate ads for a lower price, but at 9.99 for just that feature it just doesn't make sense.

To be honest, Ad's aren't ideal, but they're honestly not bad enough that I would sign up for a subscription service to eliminate them. Not only from youtube but pretty much anything, especially when it's free with ads already. Netflix could probably even tempt me down to a cheaper partially ad-supported version if they ever offered one.

When you want to subscribe within the iOS app, you get to pay that much. You are free to use Google’s website and pay less. Only Apple to blame for this stupid policy.

Something I should point out to everyone who buys the app through Apple: Google probably gets little to no information about you then.
I signed up for Netflix via AppleTV and then ran into a problem with the account. I called Netflix and was told they couldn't help me because they had no idea I was a customer. Apple completely anonymized the transaction and acted as a go between for the streaming too. I don't know if this holds true for Google, but I'd like to believe so.

Regardless, I still won't sign up for anything from Google.
