Even when I look at youtube videos for the zaggfolio iPad 2 model. Some reviewers were able to slide the case in with little effort. Others had a hard time.

I still want this case, don't know though.

I'm now concerned about this case also. Like many others, I received my "new iPad" Zaggfolio early last week. While waiting for my new iPad to arrive I've been using the case on my iPad 2. The fit, in/out sliding is perfect for the iPad 2 which obviously means it's going to be really tough getting the new iPad in and out, let alone the snapping of the closure. I won't get to test myself until Monday when I get home to my new iPad, but I'm already saddened by this practice. Just putting in a thinner liner was not the right approach.

That being said, the keyboard is great.

Thanks to the individual that worked with the CEO at Zagg. I will contacting him as well when my fears are realized.

I think they guessed and guessed wrong. Made the case a little wider so the New iPad would fit and hoped the magnets would be in the same place and they were not. This happens all the time.

So it fits tight (which I can live with) but the on/off with case closure does NOT work? That's a major miss on their part and I will be sending mine back. I will try their redesigned version however as I'm a fan of the case. My other case is the Zagg/Logitech keyboard case. I liked that style but the keyboard is really inferior to this new Zagg keyboard.

Update:

I posted earlier that the first Zagg Folio I received had a loose key so they sent me out another one for free. It arrived today and the Smart Cover magnets are working!!! The fit is a little tight on a naked ipad. I had planned to put front and back skins on the New iPad once they arrive. Not sure it will work very well if I tried that.

I'm sure Zagg will make it right.

I found out that these are being sold at Best Buy so I passed by there as if there an issue I could easily return.

It's a perfect fit, magnets work and I'm 100% happy at this point.

Could've saved on tax at a minimum if I got online, but it's a done deal and I'm happy. Will be putting up a review later on youtube for anyone who is interested as always.

That's cool. I found a 25% off coupon at Zagg.com. Sorta makes it worth buying direct. I'm sure you could order online and return the other one.

I couldn't find a code that worked on their site. For 25% off I'd have ordered there as well. If it's not a one time code and you don't mind, share it.

Sorry Guys,

I was wrong about the 25% discount. I checked my receipt and web history and I used the Zagg20 coupon. That ones not working?

I plan to complain profusely on Monday and will perhaps get another discount code then. I'll post back if I do.

I was at Toys R' Us earlier today and found they had the iPad 2 Zagg Folio cases on sale/ clearance for half off. I paid $49 for it hoping it would fit my wife's 3rd generation. It is definitely tight but it seems to fit okay. It was half off so a little tight I can deal with. The magnets work fine on the one I bought.

The Targus slim case that I bought for myself on the other hand, the magnets are wrong in it.

I picked up the Zagg Folio from Best Buy with the new iPad.

The box had the sticker on it that stated it was compatible with iPad 3.

I put my wife's iPad2 in it and it was a little loose. When I flipped it open and set it in the keyboard slot, the top of the cover needed to be pushed down because the iPad2 would slide down by itself.

My iPad3 fits very snug and does not slid down.

My opinion is that Zagg redesigned the case for the iPad3 and just states it will fit the iPad2.

Some cases/sleeves could get away with this but I think a $99.00 dollar folio should be specific to the model.

I did not like the case with my wife's iPad in it because the iPad slid down when I opened it so I was going to return it but after reading this thread I actually tried my iPad3 and it fits great! Yes, it's a little snug and requires a little effort to remove the iPad but I would call it normal effort and would not want my iPad as loose as the iPad2 is in it.

Zagg should design a separate version for iPad2 and iPad3.

Has anyone ordered just the Folio Only (no keyboard) rather than Folio + Keyboard?

I already have the Folio + Keyboard for iPad 2 and so wondered whether I could just use the existing Keyboard with the new Folio?

$29.99 or $59.99 for Leather seems like a better deal than paying $99.99 for an extra keyboard, if it is no different to the version used in the iPad 2 version.

My ZaggFolio for iPad 2 is a tight fit around my "new ipad", much tighter than the same case around my old iPad 2

When I close the cover the screen locks, so I suppose this means the magnets work?

Has anyone heard from Zagg about the "tight fit" issue? I've emailed, but haven't heard back yet. If I never had to take the iPad out of the case, I could live with the tight fit, but this case really isn't meant to be used in portrait mode. If the iPad fit correctly, I'd be a very happy customer. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to send this thing back for a refund.

Their FAQ says, "The ZAGGfolio was designed to allow an iPad with or without an invisibleSHIELD to fit in securely." There's no way I could put an IS on this thing and still have it fit. There's barely enough room to stuff the iPad in!

Zagg having delivery issues

Ordered the ZAGGfolio for my 3rd gen iPad on March 15th with a March 28 ship date. I contacted Zagg on March 29 and found out my ship date was changed to April 5. Contacted Zagg on April 5 to confirm - customer service person confirmed it should ship. On April 6 when I hadn't received a shipping confirmation I called Zagg. Customer service apologized said they would upgrade my shipping to 2nd Day UPS and it would definitely go out on the 6th. On the 9th I called again as I did not receive shipping confirmation. Customer service said they would email me back in a couple of days because they need to talk to shipping (didn't realize it takes 2 days to contact the shipping department in the same company - don't they have a phone or email?). Called back today as I never received an email and the status on my account still has an April 5 ship date. Pushed the customer service rep a little. Told him that I do not believe it takes 2 days to contact shipping... He came back and told me that my new ship date will be April 24.
I don't believe them anymore.

Zagg Folio for the new iPad update:

The first Folio I received did not have proper magnet placement and would not activate the Smart Cover feature. Zagg promptly and kindly sent me another one. That one works just fine.

I would have to agree that the fit is pretty tight. I have a SPG screen protector and it still fits fine on the front. The front of the case does not actually touch the screen it only slides snug with the edge of the aluminum case so a screen protector should not affect the fit in any way.

The back protector I have is the one from SPG as well it does not extend to the very edges of the back of the iPad so this does not interfere with the fit. If I had a Zagg full body shield that comes to the very edge of the back then it would probably not fit.

All in all I am very happy. The keyboard is great. Zagg has been super helpful about sending me two replacements (one for a bad key and one for the magnets). I am going to wait a little while until the get this fit issue sorted out and request another case which I am sure they will send.
