Zeetron.com white iphone 4 conversion kit guinea pig

good luck, I'm hoping they just refund my stuff too, I'm assuming it'll be a huge pain in the ass, probably end up having to go through with the CC dispute, but we'll see.
I've been doing research on the white iPhone 4 conversion and it seems that iResQ is the "tried and true" company to have the conversion done by.
Going through this thread, it seems that iFixDirect also offers the same service but at a much lower price, but there are little to no people to speak for the quality of their parts.
It also seems that iFixDirect claims that their parts are of higher quality than what iResQ and Zeetron uses, but if only there was proof of this.
@SanFranKyle, what do you think? You seem to be an expert in this.

have to agree, ive heard next to no complaints from either of those companies.
i just wish there was a company in the UK who would offer the same thing.

I ask them for an explanation on why the parts they sent me were not OEM and why they advertise OEM parts, that are not OEM.

IresQ seems to be having good luck with their stuff so far, I haven't seen many complaints.
and as of yet ifixit seems like they are taking this seriously and seem to have a good attitude about it, I doubt they'd come on here saying this stuff if they couldn't deliver on up to spec OEM parts. So they seem like a really good option (and cheaper as IresQ's white models are jacked up in price because they're the favorite so far)
So yea, I mean if I wasn't still dealing with Zeetron I'd definitely give IFixit a try.
Just got off the phone with Michael from iFixDirect. Very friendly and knowledgeable guy, he definitely knows the in's and out's of doing the white iPhone 4 conversion. This is especially unique in an industry in which good communication with customers seems to not be a priority.
I am thinking it over and hopefully will be sending my phone in to iFixDirect for a 'complete' conversion, which includes the headphone jack and dock connector.

well Zeetron just told me they'd refund my purchase price, and the cost to send it back to them, which is a positive. Props to them for offering the refund on shipping.

zeetron sends out 2 different kits, one of them not having a flash diffuser. it's really luck of the draw as to which one you'll get.
Wow, I was just googling Zeetron.com cause a friend told me about them and I came across this forum. Anyway, they seem to have a lot of negativity surrounding them..are they really that bad? Please tell me because my friend had a great experience with the conversion.

So before reading this forum, I was debating in buying the kits from either Zeetron, iResQ, and iFixDirect. I read other reviews regarding Zeetron kits using a different back or the front lcd being misaligned. Went ahead and ordered 2 kits last night from iFixDirect and hope it arrives soon.

Got my iphone converted to white at zeetron

Found this thread by chance, googling zeetron.
This is my experience with them:
I was going to buy a white kit and do the conversion myself, but to be honest I am pretty busy and never opened an iphone 4 before, so I thought the 40 extra bucks were worth it. I sent my iphone, and I got back a 'white' one 3 days later. Not bad.
Now, here are my thoughts:
a) The phone looks good overall, but the parts are clearly not OEM parts.
b) The mesh wire was missing from the white iphone I got. They never installed it back. I am still asking them to send me that part back.
c) The white button is of poor quality. I am having it replaced.
d) Most important, they never sent me back my original blacks parts (front and back). I asked them to send them back to me and after 3 emails I finally I got a reply with a 'of course, you didn't get them at the same time because we shipped them separately by mistake'. 2 days after I got 2 different envelopes with different, not OEM black parts. Sealed and with the zeetron sticker on it, so they obviously sent me replacement parts instead of my original ones. Once again without the mesh wire.
At this point, I've given up. I was able to buy a white button on ebay. I actually bought 2 after reading about the problems with the white color and one was the exact match. I also found a very similar mesh wire and fixed it myself, wasting time, money and moreover getting pretty frustrated.
The reason I chose Zeetron was because they marked their components as OEM, and they are in NYC (where I live), so I thought the turnover would be quicker (I needed the iphone as a birthday present for my wife).
Actually the turnover was really quick. They got the iphone on a friday and I had it back Tuesday morning. Having said that, I would definitely not recomment them.
I'll try to snap some pictures and post them here this evening.

that would bring me into a new world of rage to not get back the original parts haha. yikes that's awful. They probably sold them to someone else sadly.
Trying out Zeetron white iphone4 swap kit despite bad posts
So I just got done reading this post as I was about to buy this swap kit for my girlfriends xmas present.... Despite all the negativity and chances ill regret it, the positive threads caused me to feel like being a betting man and buying one anyways. I just created this userid to share my experience, whether it be good or bad, since I know ppl w/ bad experiences are much more likely to post than ppl with good ones.
I sent Zeetron an email as soon as I made the purchase stating that I had heard bad things in forums and that I was hoping they would make sure it went smoothly.
I asked if and when something went wrong, if I would get a replacement before xmas. I also said that the forums have made it common knowlege that you ship out 2 dif kits and I would like the one with the flash diffuser.
I ended the email saying that I hope everything goes smoothly and hopefully I can quiet nay-sayers on mac forums for them (lol!)
I got this email back 35 minutes later:
"Your item will be shipped out today and if you have any problems with it, you can send it back and we will do our best to get you a replacement before Christmas because we understand the importance.
It should come with a flash diffuser.
Let us know if you have any issues with this product."
3 minutes later I got a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number.
Lets see how it goes. I will post updates and pictures either here or on a new thread.
