Anyone with Best Buy Preorder Reports?

All stores are getting a certain number in, no matter the number of preorders. That said, the $50 is more or less a reserve from that number.
I'm sure each store is guaranteed "x" amount of units from Apple and BB will take preorders based on that number. That said, I would not be surprised if they take in more preorders than they have guaranteed units. Thats why I will still be lined up the day BB opens the 24th to make sure I don't get jerked.

I am doing the same thing for the white iPhone. Have no clue when I'll get it but at least my name is on the first white one here. I'll wait for it, I don't care. I just want my name on one. Still waiting or the store to open!!!
If APPLE is not selling the white, theres a reason. BestBuy wants to snag as many preorders as possible, regardless if they get the white next week or not. which there is no way they get the white before apple. i mean cmon.
Wasn't this already discussed with the whole RadioShack thing? It was even on the front page of MacRumors that RadioShack and Best Buy should not be taking money nor orders until they are told so. It said that they should be let to later this week.
I would not be surprised if you all get screwed like the people who pre-ordered from RadioShack did.

whatever... maybe your store did this, but with this launch there will be an appointment set for you to come in and your phone will be held with your name attatched to it. If you miss your appointment they will hold it for 48 hours before it is available for normal purchase.

Hahaha! And they'll get a mouthful if they do. 😉 I'm not too worried, there won't be enough people at Best Buy for that to be a concern.

LMFAO - You've been misinformed. Best Buy and Radio Shack are getting stock on release day. It's very much within their rights to sell preorders!

Probably the most comforting fact to BB preorderers. There are far too many unscrupulous managers that force their employees to lie to customers (telling them they're out of stock of video game systems because the customer isn't buying any accessories, etc).
first in line, i preordered a White 32 and a Black 32. basically ill get 1 phone on the 24th and if white is an option mines there lol

When was this confirmed? I just hope alot of people don't get screwed come 6/24. An associate of mine is pre-ordering alot of iPhone 4s for her friends through RS and I'm just thinking that it's a disaster waiting to happen.
I can't possibly see how BB could get a white iPhone before ATT, who does happen to be carrier, and ATT is saying LATE SUMMER for the white.

Good friend of mine works at the best buy I preordered with and im not concerned. Ill have my 32gb in black on the 24th.
I read that they should not be taking money and such. It was in the RadioShack thread that I even talked about it, and then the original poster said that RadioShack called her (after it was announced) to come back and get her money back.
Regardless, someone forgot to tell Best Buy that white iPhones are no more for now. 🙄

What makes you think that they're not allowed to take preorders? They're getting stock on release day. Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Radio Shack are all selling on release day.
No one here has said that Best Buy will have white ones on release day. The fact is, there is no official word on white. Could be available tomorrow for all we know. Some of us are willing to wait, no matter if it's late summer or release day.
