Suggestion: Apple Store App

I apologize if this has been covered here before, but I wanted to recommend the Apple Store app. Apple officially released their "Store" app this morning, and when I just downloaded it I had no trouble pre-ordering.

Is it this likely to work for everyone? Probably not, but I figure if it can help a couple people with the frustration that I felt, then its worth it.
 
I tried that when the Apple store online was down and the yellow sticky note came up. What do you know? It came up on the app as well. :mad:
 
Just pre-ordered my iPhone 4 with ease using the new Apple Store app

I installed it, and went through the menus quickly, entered the last four of my SSN and billing zip code for AT&T, and made my reservation in minutes.

Anyone else having luck with this?

I did the same thing, however, have you received your confirmation email yet? It has me at $599.00 for a 16gig! Not sure what to think
 
Yes, just made my reservation, however the confirmation email shows it at the unsubsidized $699 price.

Hopefully that gets corrected.
 
Damn. I had not been able to pre order online since 3 AM, then I went to At&t, and even their system was down.

I downloaded this app and pre-ordered in about 15 seconds flat. Keep trying, maybe your luck will change!
 
The app crashes every time I try after putting in my AT&T info.

Preordering or Reserving? I didn't see a preorder option
 
Yes, I apologize for not specifying. It only allows you to do in store pickup as far as i know.

I hope the crashing subsides. I guess I just got lucky. I hope you all find a way to get through!
 
Thats what I did, showed 299 as the price in the app, but the e-mail i get says 699? I hope when I get their they will see i'm eligible for an upgrade.
 
Wow - just downloaded the app and reserved (no shipping available) for the local store. 5 min start to finish.
 
dloaded this app from my iPad and 15 secs. later.. i got my reservation on 24th for pick up :D good luck everyone. Are they going to bill me asap tho?

Haha, yeah I hear you. I figured since its reserved I'll just go after work in the evening, should be slightly less chaotic than the early morning.
 
Not semantics at all. Pre-order means you are CHARGED and it can be picked up or shipped. Reservation means that you have the right to wait in line on launch day.
