ahh this sounds just tooo coool!!! I never knew about this and this just makes facetime even better!
what would be the easiest way for me to exchange it? i live about an hour away from the closest Apple store...
So I've seen a few people saying their free case has shipped. Has anyone had a non-Bumper ship yet? Mines still on "Not Yet Shipped" for the clear Micra shield. I got my sister an iPhone 4 on Friday and the case she picked (incase snap) is slated to ship around the same time mine is, despite mine being placed on launch day.
My Micra has not shipped yet but after reading some reviews I doubt I will even try it. I should have known being from Belkin. Most everything they produce is bottom of the barrel.
Give rogers retentions a call. Thats where a lot of people got their phones from within 3 days shipped. I myself went that route also.

These phones really are amazing, coming from a Blackberry Bold 9700 and it is like night and day. I'm really glad I got turned onto the new iPhone!

So my new iphone4 as of a week old.. And only in its 3rd day of actual use.. Seems to drain the battery like mad..
Its JB, 3G on, Wifi searching, 1push gmail account. 50% brightness. Location off.
I had sbsettings and openssh removed both.. Still doing tests but its draining pretty quick for some reason.

Im not JB and always avoid wifi and others. Still drains every day.
Well ive been doing researching and people are saying turn push off. While ive seen in other threads that push is better that fetch..
Also having to turn of all these features in order to get a good battery life is stupid.. Whats the point of them?
I dont know if its the screen being at 50% with auto that really drains it.. But im not getting any wheres close to the numbers that apple posted or what some others are getting in some of the battery threads.
Also i read that apparently mobile subtrate is a culprit and should be downgraded but i dont know..

I have my screen at 40% brightness roughly with autobrightness turned off. I have push on and I get easily 70 new mails a day. I have location services on too but wifi is not on automatically and I do not use Bluetooth. I get 7 hours of usage from my phone in a day, of which over 2 hours is 3G talk time and the rest browsing and app usage. My battery life is easily 30% better than that of my iPhone 3G,
Wow thats impressive! My battery right now is horrendous.
I have 3G on all day. Dont do nearly that amount of talking. I dont reveive 70emails but probably around 20-30..
Barely do any browsing..
Now, is your 3G always ON? Also the email is PUSH im assuming? And the wifi is actually turned off until you want to use it?
3G is always on. My email is through Rackspace in the US (IMAP) and whilst the iPhone does not support IMAP IDLE I use the Pushmail App which notifies me immediately when a new email hits my mailbox and it actually pushes the email through to me through its interface. I use Wifi sporadically and it is set to off until I manually enable or disable it.
I checked my brightness setting and I would guess it is closer to 1/3 and that is plenty bright for me. Brightness (perhaps autobrightness too) is I know a huge killer of battery life.
Very well.. Im gonna drain this battery and fully charge it.. It is a new phone so maybe thats my issue..
I even turned brightness all the way up just to drain it quicker lol..
How are the stocks in the stores? The reason I am asking is because i am flying to Vietnam to see my brother who is working over there as a teacher for 2 years and I wanted to get him one as a gift so that our family over here can talk to him over there. I live in the Toronto area.
I've called a few places and they're all sold out. They get a few units once in a while and there's a line up for it, even after a month =/
I haven't called every single place though, so if anyone knows of a store that might be getting new shipment or actually has some in stock - let us know
