Tweaked Finder icon with more exaggerated shadows and highlights, and a new Safari welcome page.

They've been 'increasing the contrast' throughout the DPs. I think they are getting the hint. You can turn off the translunacy :) for those that want to stick with Mavericks, because of that. Yosemite looked pretty iOS7-ish (ugh!) in the beginning, but now it's starting to take on it's own look. It's pretty nice. "Clean" comes to mind.

Seriously, whoever designed that Finder icon should be strung up by their toes for a week! Gah, it's horrible! Bring back the old Finder icon, and modernize it for Yosemite. The new "Way too happy" icon is just too gaudy!

YES! I also dislike the new Prozac Happy Finder icon :-/

Do you shut down your Mac fully every day? That's unnecessary. And it may not be Safari that is slow. Wi-Fi connections in OS X for the past several years have taken longer and longer to negotiate. I find that very annoying.

I shut it down as I often need to boot into Windows. Wifi usually connects pretty quickly, it just seems like Safari can be a bit slow and unresponsive at times, hope this is fixed by the time it goes GM.

Still no fix for the translucency for the HUD.

It's starting to annoy me and I'm beginning to think if Apple will ever fix this. It showed up in DP6 and thats 2 DP's ago.

If you can't see whats wrong. It's basically the translucency from the background picture that overlaps the HUD everywhere and it creates inaccurate translucency across the system.

This is not present in the Dark Mode and I personally don't like Dark Mode that much.

If you find this annoying as well, report it to Apple with the Feedback Assistant and maybe Apple will fix this.

I even reported it to them but nope.
You can turn off translucency in Accessibility.

CS6 photoshop and illustrator are working.

Yosemite public beta 2
problems running cs4 illustrator. Won't open unless cs4 indesign also open. Photoshopimport.aip and photoshopexport.aip do not work.

It's fine.

So did they pull DP8 for PB participants? Can someone who's enrolled in the developer preview confirm this? Im tired of refreshing the app store every minute.

My MBA mid 2011 says "Bluetooth LE Supported: yes". But the System Preferences General panes still has no "Allow Handoff" check box in DP8.

Grrr, it's looking like it's not going to be supported :-( which kinda sucks!

finally, they fixed the finder window. your able to adjust the finder window columns (i.e. Name) to the way u want it. so from now on whatever u adjust it to, it will save it, n not reset if u were to close n reopen a window or when going through the favorites.

There are new cursors (can't find many of them, but the spinning blue cursor when loading web content is new, I assume the beachball is too)

I had hoped that the Finder navigation buttons would be fixed in DP8 but unfortunately they have not been. :(

Downloaded and installed. In the System information display it describes itself as
OS X Yosemite Beta 10.10
Version 10.10

I'm using the Public Betas.

Where can I get the build number?

Thanks.

No Updates?

So I am running DP2, and when I go to the app store it tells me there are no updates available. Did anyone else have this problem? Did anyone find a solution?

A mid-2011 MBA doesn't support Bluetooth LE, so no.

Negative. The 2011 MBA is actually the first generation that supports Bluetooth LE. I'm actually surprised to hear that we got a problem here with handoff (I haven't tried that because I don't have iOS 8 beta).

Dropbox did that with me on Mavericks too ;)
Usually it bounced back in place though... I might test it when I can get PB3 and it's stable enough, right now I don't feel safe using dropbox yet :p
