Finally, sometimes when I first start my Mac it takes a good 10 seconds before Google loads and becomes responsive... On one of their top MacBooks :roll eyes:.

Do you shut down your Mac fully every day? That's unnecessary. And it may not be Safari that is slow. Wi-Fi connections in OS X for the past several years have taken longer and longer to negotiate. I find that very annoying.

Still no fix for the translucency for the HUD.

It's starting to annoy me and I'm beginning to think if Apple will ever fix this. It showed up in DP6 and thats 2 DP's ago.

If you can't see whats wrong. It's basically the translucency from the background picture that overlaps the HUD everywhere and it creates inaccurate translucency across the system.

This is not present in the Dark Mode and I personally don't like Dark Mode that much.

If you find this annoying as well, report it to Apple with the Feedback Assistant and maybe Apple will fix this.

I even reported it to them but nope.

Similar problem happened for me - I accidentally quit the App Store mid download. I restarted the App Store and now nothing. GAH!!

Hmm... Hopefully they push an update soon. Especially since some now are on this DP8/PB3 thing. Do we know which is which?

Tweaked Finder icon with more exaggerated shadows and highlights, and a new Safari welcome page.

Is Mac Rumors going to edit their article to say that it looks like this update was pulled for now.....

Yeah, I noticed this today, and have been able to replicate it in Dark Mode. In fact, you can layer up a vast number of windows and then move around a translucent object and you'll get the transparency from the desktop.

fyi that picture shows nothing, because the volume hud is displayed over a white background - that's how it's supposed to look. post a screen shot of the hud over your (non-white) wallpaper.

Not sure if your screenshot was a good example of this problem. I've noticed the HUD in Public Beta 2 has zero translucency. It's completely opaque.

Unfortunately, when I took a screenshot, it looks very different from how it appears on screen.

Seriously, whoever designed that Finder icon should be strung up by their toes for a week! Gah, it's horrible! Bring back the old Finder icon, and modernize it for Yosemite. The new "Way too happy" icon is just too gaudy!

They keep changing the battery charging indicator. I think it was perfect in the last release, the new one looks busy and heavy, unnecessarily so. I'll get used to it.

Here's what it looks like in "dark mode."

BTW, my storage is now fixed in About This Mac.

Not a bug, feature.

It's so that the "personality" of the background travels through to all the translucency used in the OS, even if it's sitting on white background. They're experimenting and I'm sure there's a chance they'll decide against it before public release but I doubt it. I like it.

It also works the same in dark mode as well.
