Apple Store Employees

The most lucky ones are the apple store employees, I am sure they would have reserved 1 phone each for themselves.

At last they are also like us and want the iphone 6. No need to pre-order or anything for those folks, simply keep one for yourself out of the stock and bang.. get the phone hassle free....

This is how it should be. I think every other operator puts a priority on new customers and leaves the existing ones to rot.

As far as I know it's the first time O2 has done this (or made me aware of it). It's crazy the push for new customers very year at this time and the pushing to he side of the loyal existing so hopefully tables are beginning to turn (slowly) as it should be a nice balance IMHO

Was it a pre order or did you order after it came out?

the pre orders for release day all came from the uk.

Did what i've done with my iPhone 6 Plus. Pre-ordered it just after 8am for release day delivery. It came from China and the day before it got delivered to me (think the night before) it was in Tamworth.

iPhones already in the UK

Just to give you my pennies worth. Unlike the non pre orders for the iPhone 5s last year this year the pre ordered stock is already sitting in the UK. I have spoken to someone that has dealt with my business orders before and she advised me that they are definitely here but on hold due to the fact that they can't be delivered before the 19th if that's when you're expecting it to be delivered. Like previous posts it should change to shipped within the next 24 hours and from my own experience with the big orders direct from Apple the carriers for most of the UK are UPS and DHL. UK Mail and smaller couriers deal with less big mass product orders but are used for Carphone (now they use DPD). Wish Apple did too!

Just to add another penny I used to work for Carphone and they get their stock from Apple in advance too so they can change their own status to delivers 19/9 to 2-3 weeks if they use up their allocation.

Hope I have helped and if not apologies#

This sounds right - spoke to a client today who is a business customer of EE and has a number of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus phones on order for various staff. His account handler at EE has guaranteed delivery on Friday.

So unless they are due to arrive into the UK tonight / tomorrow in order to give everyone time to process them in and distribute to stores and delivery depots (which would still leave things VERY tight) then they already in the country.

Midnight tonight UK time? i didn't know that, wonder if that means shops will have more stock to reserve :D i might try and have a look for the Birmingham Bull ring store then :) Thanks for telling me about this

UK time yes, https://reserve-gb.apple.com/GB/en_GB/reserve/iPhone :)

Do you know where this info has come from ?
Thanks

I checked on there earlier so I am assuming that means more stock is to be added, but I could be wrong.

Who shipped it? Still waiting on mine....

When was it shipped?

I believe mobile phone carriers will have received theirs already because they will need time to allocate them to their customers and then send them out in time for delivery for Friday. Also I think Apple stores will have started to receive phones to the stores.

For people that have pre-ordered from the online apple store the phones will either already be in the UK waiting to be dispatched for delivery on Friday or they are in China still. If the phones don't get dispatched tonight I highly doubt they are coming from China.

Last year my iPhone 5s arrived in the UK in the early hours of Friday morning and was delivered to me by lunchtime that day,so theres still time for the iPhone 6 to be coming from China for Friday delivery.

I was impatient with the o2 store so have ordered through Carphone Warehouse. 6 Plus 64GB in gold was what I ordered on launch day.

I was then told that it wouldn't be launch day delivery but something like the 13th October, however for the same phone in Silver they could guarantee launch day delivery.

I picked collect in store too so I hope I can get it on Friday. Haven't received any tracking number yet so I can't constantly refresh statuses like you guys! ;)

UPS - was shipped yesterday: Origin Tamworth and arrived lunchtime today. The case feels a great size and pleased I have not gone with the 6plus as I really think that would be too big for my needs - especially as I use my phone when exercising.

Looking forward to Friday to get the phone to fill the case!

I am in exactly the same boat! I heard it will be updated by tomorrow night at the very latest. Some other who ordered from voda had shipment confirmation today

Fingers crossed for us both, then!

Am slightly impatient as I got a decent trade-in value from the Royal Mail which will cover the upfront handset cost and delivery to send it insured.

Only got until the 26th of this month then the value they are offering after that will be the price I receive so eager to get it off ASAP.

Received my Spidgen iPhone 6 case from Amazon today. Thanks to whoever posted the link for it when it was only 5p!! To me the size is perfect. Just need the phone now

If you reserve an iPhone 6 or 6+ can you choose which day you want to pick it up? unfortunately i'm at university on Friday, but i could pick up (if i get to reserve one) on Saturday (the 20th).

I have a 64GB iPhone 6 Plus (unlocked) in Space Grey i'm selling on launch day in Birmingham. Message me for details.
