Rep told me the same thing re my 2 38mm SGs. Sounds like that might be a script they're told to say.
They'll do anything to get you people to stop harassing them.

While we are waiting in our "Processing Items" limbo (42mm SG+BSB Confirmation xx:08:11am), I was curious:
Has anyone seen an Watch out in the wild yet? (In-store try-ons don't count, obviously.)
The students on my campus are usually quick to adopt new Apple products, but despite scanning the wrists of everyone whose path I've crossed today, I've yet to see one.
It's still very early in the watch rollout, of course, but it's always fun to spot a fellow early-adopter.
Exactly. I haven't received my watch yet but that doesn't make it late. Do you know when my watch will be late? May 28. That's what I agreed to when I ordered.
If he was the CEO you would be defending him because clearly you are gulping down the apple koolaid. It's been a horrible launch, don't kid yourself. You did get one thing correct though, "pushed out asap", you can tell by the amount of defect, buggy and return threads.
I have been in Processing hell since then with a 4/24-5/8 delivery window. Well, that was until I checked a few minutes ago and my delivery window is now 5/13-5/27 and still Processing.
Because we live in a world where people want immediate gratification, and man children want a shiny bauble to play with on release day. Some of these children even attach self-value to getting baubles on release day and feel let down by the world's most valuable company when it doesn't deliver (despite making no promises to).
I knew before I even placed the "order" which I haven't paid yet, the delivery time. Everyone did. And now they don't like dealing with the consequences of their decision to accept the delivery window.
Apple teased us for months, then they put adverts everywhere saying 'available 24th April'....the number of people who were actually able to get a watch on that date is pathetically small considering the time they have had to build them.
While not 'late' per se, mis-representations were made on apples behalf, I feel, that we would be able to have our watches on April 24th.
My confirmation email came in at XX:03:51...and I have a delivery date (expected) of 13th-27th May. Let's say I get it at the back of that date, 27th, that's over a month after Apple's "coming on 24th April" advertisement.
However, their tactics are no worse than any other company when it comes to delivering, and pricing...available from 1st Jan..or as low as $99...when in fact for the majority of people it's later than this and more expensive than this.
People talk about the mess that was the previous iphone launches, but it seems that apple hasn't learnt anything and continue to make the same mistakes with regards to availability and setting and meeting peoples expectations.
I'm not mad, I'm not phoning up support reps trying to get the exact time and date of my order in the hope that I'm in 'the next batch'...it gets here when it gets here, but I am a little annoyed that I was lead to believe initially that there would be availability on 24th April.
Some watches were...but did their adverts say this? no..they didn't.

If that is the case, I can certainly understand being upset. Hopefully they will be able to offer some sort of reasonable explanation at the very least. I know that doesn't offset the frustration over a change in shipping dates.
Nope. Not a misrepresentation. The watch was ready on April 24th, even before you ordered your specific model, you knew the delivery window. You are just trying to justify your "gimme dat now" mindset that our society has adopted.
Not planning on it, but damn does the thought cross my mind the more I see ones shipping.![]()

You mean the advanced civilization we currently live in where extremely successful and competent companies build enough of their product to meet the demand 6 months after it was announced?
Just got off the phone with Apple. While my email confirmation was XX:01:10, my order didn't actually get processed until XX:27:23. I was furious to say the least. I asked to speak with their supervisor because the woman couldn't explain to me why that happened. The supervisor told me that because I was so early (earliest time he has heard of someone getting an order in, same thing said by every other customer support person I've talked to in the past few days) that my order request was probably caught in a "request loop" (whatever that means) while their servers were getting hammered and didn't go through until they calmed down a bit. He noted that was only his best guess as they cannot see the specifics of how it went through.
He said that they can't do anything about it and that my Watch will ship between 5/13 and 5/27, as the site says.
Whatever, I'm *********g done right now. I guess I'll just sit and wait and get on with my life.
Edit: As I'm thinking about this, I don't think their time is correct as if that were true, I feel I should be in the June window as everyone else that ordered theirs that late. Maybe I'm just trying to find a single bit of optimism that mine will ship within the original window I was given.
Edit 2: Just did an online chat to double check on the actual order time. I must have misheard or she must have misspoken before because my exact order time was XX:07:23. Still a bit upset about it though.

I know the feeling.Just hang it there.
I noticed that some June deliveries have been moved up so maybe that's a good sign. Perhaps the same thing will occur with May deliveries (delivered sooner rather than later in the month).
You're upset about not getting a watch that was not promised to you until 5/13-5/27?
... thats after my time. Interesting. WHen were you charged?
Curious - those that purchase the 42mm SG Sport and had the May 13 - 27 time frame and they're getting shipped much sooner, did you purchase Apple Care+ with your watch? I'm sure it has nothing to do with it, but I'm curious if getting Apple Care slows down your order?
It was promised 4/24-5/8. My delivery window got changed to 5/13-5/27 today. That's what I'm upset about. Hell, when I went through the ordering process, every page said April 24th. I wasn't originally upset with the first promised shipping window because I understand how things like this work, but is it so outrageous that my originally promised delivery window has been pushed back by two weeks?
Yeah, I would be too if that happened to me. However, if your original window was 4/24 - 5/8, you still have just under 2 weeks. Based on people noticing things moving along, you may still get it by 5/8.
What configuration did you order?
