And ct2000 for posting a link to a page that has had the same effect for two years.

I'm getting so frustrated with the newbies tonight. Guys, if you're new and you think you have new information, you don't. We're right on top of the info here.
Excuse me Mr Über-geek. Info deleted, happy?
Please, continue with your elite predictions.

I really think someone needs to rework the way forums/blogs are written. 1/2 of the posts are dupes and people only read the first 1 or 2 pages or the last. Somehow, as one types in something, if apple could use spotlight technology that would bring those other posts in a translucent window ontop of what you are writing so you can actually see what others have written.

So, if I just opened this thread and there were 500 pages of posts and I wanted to add a coment but didn't know if somoene shared my idea already as I would start typing. " I found apple movies on the german or swedish page" Or " check this out apple.com/movies" a translucent popup or something would hover over your input that would in realtime show that others had already posted this.

Forums suck when it actually comes to info since 1/2 or more is just reposts of the same info and the info we are actually looking for becuase lost in a pile of reposts ontop of reposts.

Music Store Completely Down

It seems that the music store is completely down right now - I'm getting error message 504: "There was an error in the Music Store. Please try again later."

Didn't read the previous 350+ posts, but here is what I get (Canadian store). Takes quite a while before it shows, too, like a server timeout.

Edit: never mind, it's Showtime here too now. :)

Here is what I see.

I'm getting similar networking errors/ unknown errors on the U.S. store as well. Just started happening for me.

edit: we are all on the same page, literally.

That's probably because there are thousands of crazy apple fans (which i am one of) are reloading the page like crazy.

Amen to that.

And I hate it when 'experienced' members speak condescendingly towards newer members for posting a dupe in a 300+ message thread. Seriously: who has time to read all 300 posts before making a post? Not too many people.

CNN Headline News also reported that Apple will start offering movie downloads. Very doubtful that these news channels have any advance knowledge. On Skynews site, they claim it's expected that Apple will sell movies.

However, my two cents on the probabilities of what's coming:

-98% movie store launch
-95% Itunes 7.0
-90% ipod nano updates
-80% new ipod video (+5% if movie store launches)
-50% some type of video airport express thingy (3% that it will be called TubePort)
-15% macbook updates (don't flame me, I don't think its going to happen, but it might)

Give the guy a break. He's still mourning over the Crocodile Hunter.

As we all are, sadly enough. Here is to a moment of silence to the great
conservationist, and entertaining Steve Irwin, AKA Crocodile Hunter :(

I may just be weird but I try and read them all before I post because I don't want to be the guy that everyone does the  at. But I can see how many wouldn't want to or, in threads like these, be able to.

Some predictions

I've been using the Internet to contact all my people involved in Apple in some way, and I've been able to discern some quite increadible information. You may have to sit down before reading this, as a lot of this is going to come as a great surprise and shock. Essentially, there's going to be an announcement later today (as you may already know), and here's what it's about:

1. Something to do with movies.
2. An iPod. Maybe an upgrade to an existing model, or perhaps something completely different.
3. Possibly some other products, but also possibly not.
4. Something that involves the iTunes Music Store. Might be (1).

Now, I've been doing some research, and I'm going go for a 99% probability that there will be no iMac or Mac mini upgrades this week. Sorry about that. I know it's a downer for many of you, but my sources say no. There will, in all likelihood, be no new Mac Pro or Xserve either. I'm not going to comment on the laptops, I mean, I can't rule out an upgrade, but I can't rule one in either.

Also I've done some research, and right now I believe Apple will not, absolutely not, release a Powerbook based on the G5 processor. At least, not at this show.

Has anyone seen anything that would confirm this? I'm talking about perhaps, say, references to movies on a German Quicktime page? Or has anyone tried http://www.apple.com/movies, is this a normal 404 or is there anything unusual about the page? Has anyone checked to see if Apple has registered iphone.org (iPod Home Orthogonal Networked Entertainment) or some other give-away DNS name?

Are you talking about the Apple online store?

Kind of early for the stores to go down.Usually it's about an hour before Keynote.
