Canadian Shipping of SL

Same here - mail arrived and no SL. My only hope is that it being sent with the parcel post in the afternoon. I will complain in any event...
 
please do not tell me that I am not getting it today.

sorry, I missed the part where they mentioned that they were charging us $13 for 'shipment'. Wow, what a lousy shipment! Why in the world would you choose Canada post!? Like seriously :mad::mad:

I think we should all call them and take out our anger

Mine didn't arrive either. Has anyone in Canada who ordered through the UTD program actually said how it arrived (mail vs. truck), or are we all assuming it's coming in regular mail because there's no tracking number?
 
Yup, mail is in, but SL. This is actually pretty annoying, we are all hopeful that it comes with a truck not the mail man, we are being vert optimistic here haha.
 
Didn't get mine yet either and I pre-ordered in July!!! :mad:

I ended up buying the retail version when it was released on Friday, installed it since and been enjoying it. :)

I agree that this is the worst handling ever from Apple in my experience. We should sign a petition or complaint to Apple.

I'm now thinking of what to do with the UTD when it comes...it's still $13 of my money you know...:confused:
 
No show with the truck either. Judging from other threads no one in Ontario on the UTD programme has yet received it. Now looks like the 8th is our next hope.... (or maybe the 9th, 10th, 11th.....)
 
just coming back from checking the mail and NO SL - bloody nonsense. I guess we will have to wait until next week.

I think I am gonna download it from the net. screw apple; I did not pay $13 for such a lousy service
 
This sucks. No SL for me neither. I'm in Toronto.

Did Apple actually send these out yet?
 
I get the mail in about an hour. I'm in the first time zone in North America, so if I get it, it should be looking good for the rest of you. Fingers crossed.
 
I'm in Calgary and I ordered several weeks ago, shipped on the 28th with "Ships By" Sept. 3rd, and its still not here...
 
Mail is In, Snow Leopard is Not!

I am getting really mad, i will be calling apple later today if i don't get it! its been 11 days since it was shipped
 
My copy shipped on august 29th, and I still haven't received it. Even if they told it was to be delivered by sept. 3rd.

"All shipments except those delivered by Canada Post require a signature upon receipt. Transit time will depend upon whether or not you have chosen standard or premium freight. If your order is shipping standard freight, it should arrive within 8 days of shipment."

I thought 8 business days, but i guess not. Ridiculous service.
 
Guys, check your status online, i just notice that the method has changed from "Canadian Post/ Purolator' to this:

This is disgusting.

I am in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Snow Leopard was shipped at the end of the afternoon of August 28th with Purolator Canada and I don't have a tracking number or anything. I have no idea where the heck my Snow Leopard is right now...

But I see that the whole country is plagued with latenesses... at least I'm not the only one. But it sucks a lot.

Last time I called Apple, they told me I had to wait 8 business days before declaring it "lost" to Apple. So I had to wait until Wedesday, but the guy probably didn't know yesterday was not a business day. So before calling Apple, we must be Thursday.
 
Just called Apple, after being transfered 2 or 3 times to the right person I talked to someone in shipping. Very friendly and helpful. Probably the best customer service experience I've had. Told him my situation about the UTD and that I haven't received it and now I'm getting the RETAIL version, no charge with a tracking number and everything.

Still haven't received Snow Leopard

Same deal for me folks! I ordered a new iMac in June and paid for the up to date Snow Leopard - only $13. I was at the Eaton center and saw a nice stack of the SL packs on the shelf - a little frustrating - we should have ours. I called Apple last week, the rep told me this is an issue for Canadian customers. Same here - Shipped by Canada Post/Purolator with no tracking. Funny about that. The rep told me that the delay is 3 business days, so add that to your original ship to date and you should have it. I was told to call on Thursday if mine isn't in the mail box. My big concern is Canada Post - they lie like a rug! They often say they 'attempted' delivery but do not - I work at home, they don't buzz, they don't deliver! I've seen the Canada Post reps slyly filling out N/A on the form and pasting it on the door of the building before they ever try to buzz!!! My guess is that Canada Post lost a big Toronto shipment of Snow Leopard - wouldn't be the first thing they've lost of mine! Here's to hoping I get this by Thursday!!!
 
In Toronto... Still haven not received my UTD copy which shipped aug 25th.

On the phone with Apple now.
They are attempting to either reship another UTD disc to me...
 
Looks like they just decided to ship out another which should arrive in 2 - 3 days..
When i asked what happens if i receive 2 copies.. the rep just said "Congratulations."
