Hmm.. I'm just waiting for something to be shown on the Apple website to see exactly whats been changed (bugs etc.)

EDIT - Argh! Restoring my iPhone and the iTunes store stops working like the last update!

hmm iphone software update and all starbuck's closing today at 530pm local time...coincidence?

how the crap is it possible ???

apple does it again... you're reading the blogs and rumor sites every f...ing day but bang !!!!!! again... 1.1.4 and not 1.2 or whatever is released.... well I'm downloading this puppy and whatever it does it'd better be good. alex@felke.com.

My guess is that this is for SDK and that Apple are rolling out Aps tonight via the iTunes store....

Since 1.1.3, I've had problems with outgoing (and less frequently, incoming) calls. I'm getting a lot of "call error" messages. Sometimes it take 3-4 tries to actually place a call...

Safari is also prone to crashing, especially opening pages from home screen buttons.

Hope this fixes these issues.

Thanks for the info.

Updated to 1.1.4! Definitely must have had some foundations for the SDK too - as this was a pretty large update for simply bug fixes.

(iPhone firmware update + a new MBP = good day).

:D

Software and Firmware?

Interesting note, it took a while to update the software, then it went through again and updated the firmware...

I don't know if that means anything else to anyone but I thought I'd share since I noticed...

You should have done a full restore on your phone. Those aren't issues most iPhone owners have been experiencing. Both my wife and I are running iPhones with 1.1.3 installed and have had no issue.

Learning some basic troubleshooting techniques can take you far. ;)

Thanks to all of you for letting us know how far along your update was going and how many mins were left and the progress of your firmware upgrade.. we really needed to know that (stop slacking off @ work!!)

Any news on jailbreak with 1.1.4, or any relevant info would be appreciated!!

I'd like to point out that all iPhone updates are about 160MB ... it replaces the whole OS, not just the bits that have updates. That's why 3rd party applications are always erased if you've jailbroken your iPhone/Touch.

Honest question...

How many people here lusting after the iPhone SDK are actual developers?

I really wanna know, cause it seems kind of silly to me for lay people to want something that they can't do anything with anyway.
