What size and color did you get? I haven't seen one gold 32GB ship. Only 16GB and 64GB gold's.

I also ordered a Gold 32 GB AT&T. Got confirmation at 3:01 AM Eastern. Still has not shipped yet. I've seen 16 GB and 64 GB Gold iPhones shipped but not 32 GB. My other order of Space gray 16 GB already shipped and I ordered that a minute after I ordered the 32 GB Gold.

Anyone here who ordered a 32 GB Gold iPhone has their order status saying shipped? Thanks.

I can be completely off on this, but my FlightTrack Pro app on my iphone does saythere is a "China Cargo" flight from Zhengzhou to Anchorage. China Cargo 237. Scheduled for a 5:30 pm Departure.

No clue if it means anything.

I don't think UPS would actually contract it out. They have a fleet of their own planes to fly. The facts that UPS62D has no history is odd. If you look at any other UPS callsign they are on a routine 3-4 day flight rotation in/out of the same airports.

Its scheduled arrival would also give the factory another day of processing orders to get them onto the plane.

I ordered a AT&T 16GB Space Gray (AT&T) from the Apple Store app at 3:03am EST. I received my shipping notification this morning at 9:03am EST.

My wife ordered a 32GB Space Gray (AT&T) from the Apple Store website at 3:10am EST and still has a status of "Processing Items".

Same here. Gold, 32GB, AT&T, confirmation email 3:04 am eastern, "preparing for shipment" since yesterday.

I'll be happy as long as mine comes before Friday and doesn't have any defects upon arrival, to be honest. Sooner would be better of course lol :D

I would be fine with friday but I see so many people with tuesday and wednesday, I'm jealous!

You don't know that.

I could see them being on different flights (which would make me very upset).

I sure hope its the same plane. Lots of phones should fit on there I hope!

True, so far it does seam that UPS62D is a plane going to Hong Kong for iPhones. But it will probably only leave hong kong on monday night for them, monday morning for us. And some people are saying they are getting deliveries on tuesday? (which I don't believe will happen).
I order way too much stuff from China via UPS, and customs usually takes a day and half in itself. I'm expecting deliveries wednesday, thursday, and friday.

Coming from China it is funny that the east coast seems to be getting on Tuesday and the west coast on Wednesday. Logistics you suck (I am on the west coast)

It's because when they get to the States from China they land in Alaska. From Alaska they don't come straight down the coast. They go to Kentucky or Tenn. then back to the West Coast. It's like that every year.

Its possible but unlikely.

Correct. They always go Hong Kong-->Anchorage-->Louisville. That's how UPS processes the packages.

I hope the flight I found isn't the one. While it would give the factory another day...I doubt the phones would arrive on Tuesday. They'd only be getting to Louisville in the early AM Tuesday.

Yes, but the merchant can also reverse a final charge. The bank, however, is bound. A preauth is their promise to pay. A chargeback is when the bank tries to cancel and there are specific rules through their exchange.

there was no charge. no charge back. just the hold and then it was gone... the money never left my account. if my terminology is wrong it is the same that the credit union uses so...

When the hotel had a pending preauth, the amount was removed from your credit limit and obligated. If a debit card, your depository agreement allows them to deduct the amount from any account so most banks don't actually debit it from your working balance.

There was a charge...that is what a preauthorization is. The merchant (hotel, Apple, etc) can always inform their processor to reverse the charge. (Its the same as writing a check...the person holding the check can always tear it up.) The bank, however, is obligated as are you. You can't call your bank and stop a pre-authorization unless you follow the dispute rules your bank has agreed to with their exchange. The bank (and processor) are holding the authorized amount in trust for the merchant. So there is no change when the merchant ships your product. Try it in a store sometime. You've left with the goods but it will remain pending for a few days.

The point is...it tells you absolutely nothing about shipping because nothing will change. People will see different timelines based upon which credit exchange Apple and your bank are using, whether you used credit or debit, whether debit was run as debit or credit, etc.

I ordered 32gb also and still in prep mode. I will say I went from processing to prep later than most. I stopped checking just prior to 6pm EST. Watched the UFC fights last night and checked in around 0130 this morning and it was in prep to ship. My husband is annoyed by me checking so much right now. I've been checking every couple hrs but since the first post from the person that ordered gold as shipped I've been checking every hour. Obsess much? Yes! :p

I ordered late half hour into the sales but my status is prepare do to ship as well, I live in anchorage so hoping I get it even faster since all the planes go through anchorage.

What I noticed is only att models are shipping already. I haven't got any shipping information nor can I search the reference number on the ups website :(

That is wrong. Other carriers are shipping today, I have seen it all over the forums. I have AT&T. Ordered at 3:08 and mine didn't ship yet.

I get what you're saying. I meant that there was no charge back not no charge. Again I think it's terminology and not understanding. To me a charge back means you charged me, my money is no longer there (not talking about the difference between available balance and balance but when both areas show the same balance) and then it's returned to me. I understand that a preauth is a charge and that I can't recall it but a business can. Whether that's a chargeback or whatever it doesn't change the meaning. The reason why I asked the question is that in my experience with Apple MY shipment notice and final draft have happened together. What is different is that this is a weekend and I can see that the merchants would not be able to complete the charge. But it has still happened to me in the past without regard to the w/e. Was just wondering was it coincidental or not.

Ordered a gold 32gb on verizon and got my email confirmation at 12:02(PST), 2:02 central. Still hasn't been shipped, and I also can't look it up by reference number on the UPS website. I'm also in the Midwest if that's helpful.

I ordered a 16GB silver Verizon 5S from the Apple store. Confirmation email at 3:02AM EST ON 9/20. Apple says standard shipping 9/26 delivery, UPS says 9/24.

Ok yeah, other carriers are shipping.

(Sorry buckeyestar, using you as an example.)
