I'll be happy as long as mine comes before Friday and doesn't have any defects upon arrival, to be honest. Sooner would be better of course lol

What size and color did you get? I haven't seen one gold 32GB ship. Only 16GB and 64GB gold's.
I can be completely off on this, but my FlightTrack Pro app on my iphone does saythere is a "China Cargo" flight from Zhengzhou to Anchorage. China Cargo 237. Scheduled for a 5:30 pm Departure.
No clue if it means anything.
I also ordered a Gold 32 GB AT&T. Got confirmation at 3:01 AM Eastern. Still has not shipped yet. I've seen 16 GB and 64 GB Gold iPhones shipped but not 32 GB.
Dude...chill...they are all going to be on the same plane. They just take them to the depot in batches to palletize.

You don't know that.
I could see them being on different flights (which would make me very upset).
Coming from China it is funny that the east coast seems to be getting on Tuesday and the west coast on Wednesday. Logistics you suck (I am on the west coast)

It's because when they get to the States from China they land in Alaska. From Alaska they don't come straight down the coast. They go to Kentucky or Tenn. then back to the West Coast. It's like that every year.Coming from China it is funny that the east coast seems to be getting on Tuesday and the west coast on Wednesday. Logistics you suck (I am on the west coast)

Yes, but the merchant can also reverse a final charge. The bank, however, is bound. A preauth is their promise to pay. A chargeback is when the bank tries to cancel and there are specific rules through their exchange.
there was no charge. no charge back. just the hold and then it was gone... the money never left my account. if my terminology is wrong it is the same that the credit union uses so...

What I noticed is only att models are shipping already. I haven't got any shipping information nor can I search the reference number on the ups website![]()
When the hotel had a pending preauth, the amount was removed from your credit limit and obligated. If a debit card, your depository agreement allows them to deduct the amount from any account so most banks don't actually debit it from your working balance.
There was a charge...that is what a preauthorization is. The merchant (hotel, Apple, etc) can always inform their processor to reverse the charge. (Its the same as writing a check...the person holding the check can always tear it up.) The bank, however, is obligated as are you. You can't call your bank and stop a pre-authorization. The bank (and processor) are holding the authorized amount in trust for the merchant. So there is no change when the merchant ships your product. Try it in a store sometime. You've left with the goods but it will remain pending for a few days.
The point is...it tells you absolutely nothing about shipping because nothing will change. People will see different timelines based upon which credit exchange Apple and your bank are using, whether you used credit or debit, whether debit was run as debit or credit, etc.
I ordered a 16GB silver Verizon 5S from the Apple store. Confirmation email at 3:02AM EST ON 9/20. Apple says standard shipping 9/26 delivery, UPS says 9/24.
Ordered a gold 32gb on verizon and got my email confirmation at 12:02. Still hasn't been shipped, and I also can't look it up by reference number on the UPS website.
Its possible but unlikely.

Correct. They always go Hong Kong-->Anchorage-->Louisville. That's how UPS processes the packages.
I hope the flight I found isn't the one. While it would give the factory another day...I doubt the phones would arrive on Tuesday. They'd only be getting to Louisville in the early AM Tuesday.
