LOL I was thinking the same thing, I don't have a problem with it but it's definitely beyond my interest level in finding out where the phone is.

They don't! Yours (and mine) just haven't updated yet. Relax. This happens every single year. They have millions of orders that have to be updated. One year I got my phone before I even got the ship email!!! You just need patience. No one is getting intentional priority over you.
Which plane are you referring to? No UPS planes have landed recently. Nor will they for hours. And there isn't any scheduled departure within 10 minutes of 1915.

Really, if you got in within the first 4 hours, before they went out of stock and changed the shipping window, then yours is shipping. It just takes awhile for everything to be processed, updated and emailed.
It's Apple, they do things right.

My gold 64gig ATT has shipped and is in china with a delivery of Tuesday pm. I don't believe that for a second. No way have I ever seen that kind of speed from a china warehouse to my door. I still think I'll be lucky to see it Friday.

It doesn't matter. In so many ways, but mostly in that they aren't going to be able to tell you anything. If, like me, you bought around 2am on Friday, you got quoted a Delivery of Sept 27th-Oct 1. So it' not ridiculous that you haven't been given any kind of an update. If they beat that estimate for some people, that's all gravy, but it doesn't in any way at all mean that they owe you the same. Some Apple customer service rep on the phone isn't going to be privy to any of this information you have, and when you tell them about it, they aren't going to care. They'll be friendly I'm sure, and assure you that you'll get it within the estimate they gave you, but that's it.

Since in-store reservations are starting tonight, if I don't get confirmation of delivery this week by tomorrow morning, then I will just get in store and cancel or return this shipped model. I'll deal with AT&T and my upgrade price later.
Just got a notification on my phone about UPS 62, Anchorage to Hong Kong, just took off. Scheduled to arrive at 4:26 pm Hong Kong time. So it would be on par to leave in the evening. in about 12-15 hours from now. So just my educated guess, shipping for the first batch will be updated in that time frame.
UPS 62, will then turn into UPS 63 going back to anchorage, then louisville, and local ports following that.
I'd be quite surprised if deliveries occur on tuesday.
Now to see if this typhoon has any impact, and hey, maybe these iphones aren't even flying out of hong kong. Just seems the most probable flight path.
Yeah. 63 lands at 1-3AM +1 in Louisville. Its possible for them to sort overnight that quick but I doubt this many phones.

What details did you use?
Just enter your UPS Tracking # it will auto detect the method of shipping. I use this for a variety of carriers
This thread is hilarious! Apple is shipping millions of phones from China this weekend. Literally millions! They promised early purchasers their phone would ship in 1-3 business days. It is been 1 business day so far.
Also, historically it is known that with a new iPhone release shipping updates sometimes lag quite a bit behind actual shipping, even if *some* people have received shipping notices and some haven't.
So people... please relax! Your phone will arrive very soon. Nobody is treated as a second class citizen. It will be shipped and delivered in the window Apple promised when you placed your order. Probably earlier.

Yes, for many of us it's not our first iPhone. Apple will get them out, it's a huge logistical undertaking to get the iPhones out. By the end of October you can walk into a radio shack and buy a gold 5s without a wait.
