UPS will likely start showing a delivery date once the shipment passes customs in the US. Sometimes it goes quickly, other times customs takes a while. No doubt Apple is hedging an extra day or two in the delivery times because of this.
 
My Verizon Gold 16GB version shipped today with a estimated arival of of the 25th. I highly doubt it get here at that date since the shipping location isn't that far from my state and on top of that it's Fedex 2day.
 
Same here got email 12:38 am , delivery for the 26th via ups nyc and I paid for expedited shipping and was in the 1-3 business days batch ... What gives ... Has anybody tried to call apple and have there $10 refunded or it's just not worth it at this point .

I posted a thread on the pre-order night that if phones came from China, expedited was not worth it.

Actually, to spend $10 just in case it shipped from USA isn't a bad idea, if you're really enthusiastic as most of us here are.

I'm sure Apple will refund you the $10. Just tell them you didn't know all phones were shipping same speed from China, so the $10 was a waste.
 
Well. Kinda sounds like the wave of shipments for today may be done and I've been left of this round too. Seems like there are just a few left, but no one seems to have reported an origin later than xx:18 or so so it seems I'm out.

Maybe I'm wrong and I'll get scanned but I'm already in at best second batch of iPhones. Darn.
 
Ordered: 64 GB Silver iPhone 5s (Verizon) at 1:08 AM Mountain Time. Shipping 1-3 days. Delivers September 30th - October 2nd by Standard Shipping.

Got my Shipment Notification email at 11:44 PM Mountain Time from Apple saying it shipped!

ZhengZhou, China 09/23/2013 5:12 A.M. Origin Scan

Hope it gets here quicker than the Estimated Delivery. I am in Montana.
 
ordered 12:01am. was quoted 9/27-10/1 delivery. today it told me it has shipped and will arrive on 9/27 (friday).
location: sf bay area.
device: gold 16gb
 
For those of us (me included) who are receiving tracking numbers with no estimated delivery date, it is because the packages were scanned into the UPS system before any information was received from Apple.

Got Apple email for our 16 GB gray AT&T - delivers 9/26

Also got the shipment email for the 64 GB, but no arrival date yet. I imagine it'll be the same day though, as they both were scanned through ZhengZhou. (Ordered 12:06 am; 16 GB @ 12:10 am, both standard shipping)

Got mine for my 5S 64gb Silver ATT @ 2:04 AM.

Still in ZhongZou, I want it to move so badly, tomorrow in school I'm just going to be reloading it all day.

Yep. For both iPhones. Got the emails from Apple between 9:00 pm and 10:30 pm, PDT. Not sure how they arrived at the delivery date for the 16 GB, as UPS doesn't show it, but UPS (can't seem to find UPS departures; China Cargo does go to PANC though) shows shipped by UPS Saver, which I believe is next day PM. Best I can figure, they'll fly out of Shanghai via China Cargo to PANC, then via UPS. The one thing I can't pin down is getting from ZhengZhou to Shanghai. Could be most of Monday doing that, but with time difference could still get to PANC Monday evening. Then on to hub (usually Louisville) and to our local hub in the L.A. Area (could be Ontario, but I think Long Beach is another). Once there, it's next day to the house. Looks like the 26th is pretty doable.

I'm just guessing on the ZhengZhou routing, as I haven't received anything through that city.
 
Seems like most of the phones that have shipped have been Subsidized phones. (on/with a contract).

Hopefully they're working on the T-mobile/unlocked 5s' today!

Yes me too - I will never order from Apple again/ should have cancelled this one instead of the Verizon order. Ordered at 12:02 still preparing shipment and to add salt to the injury paid for expedited shipping and apple has debited my account twice so I have 900 plus dollars on hold / sheesh

Wow, still nothing here, not even when tracking by reference at ups haha

mine was a 12:02AM gold 16gb unlocked/t-mobile.
 
16gb gold at&t confirmed at XX:05

got my shipping notification at around 11PM PST

delivery date promised friday to southern california
 
Wow Apple, you really freaking suck. Not only are we definitely getting it later than other people (people that shipped yesterday), it still hasn't ******** shipped.

Cancelling online order.
 
Just got up for work and saw my shipment confirmation email saying it should arrive by Thursday. Adios Nokia 111. It's been a terrible past two weeks with you and your T9 texting! :)
 
My gold 16GB AT&T finally departed ZhengZhou at 4:48pm - delivery still shows for tomorrow by the end of the day... I'm in CT... Keeping my fingers crossed :D
